Partner/Spouse Bedtime/Nighttime routine

For many of us growing up as a baby/toddler. The routine used to be dinner time, bath time, diaper time and then paced into onesie. Sometimes parent would read a book to put one to sleep.

For many of us the routine is the same.

Can others list their bedtime/nighttime routine.

My girlfriend and I do have a nightly bedtime routine which is certainly different from my bedtime routine when I was young and living at home. Then, mom would tell me its time to get ready for bed sweetie, and take me by the hand to my bedroom, place my changing pad on my bed, and leave me to take off my shirt and pants while she grabbed a fresh diaper, rubber pants, pins, and baby powder. Mom would lay out my diaper, have me lay on top, clean my bottom and pee-pee with wipes, shake some powder on, pin my diaper together and pull up my rubber pants. We then tuck her into bed and I read her a story either until she falls asleep or untill we get to the end.

Then there is a kiss on the head, lights are turned off and she is left to sleep.

If during this she is struggling to settle or starts sucking her thumb she is is given a pacifier.

If I decide to join her in bed at 10pm we lay cuddled together with me stroking her butt through the pull up which helps her to fall sleep faster.

My wife and I really don't have a nightly routine. She usually goes to bed before I do. When I go to bed,, I change out of my wet day time diaper and put on my thick cloth diapers and plastic pants and go to bed.
