This is what happened to a Classmate back in Highschool. I attended a Technical School, it was double Shift, during mornings we had different workshop classes (Mechanic, Carpentry, etc) and PE Classes once a week, and regular classes (Maths, History etc) by the afternoons. One morning we were in the Smithy and Foundry workshop when this classmate (his name was Tomas) slipped and fall on top of a bunch of Iron waste, some of the pieces were sharp enough to rip his jeans and cause him a wound up in his left thigh.
He screamed at first for the pain (and the fear) and started bleeding, getting a big blood stain in his Pants which made it look even worst. We helped him stand up and compose himself a little. He was in pain but he said he could cope with it. So our Professor (a man in his late 50s) immediately took him -an another of my classmates to help him out- to a small hospital located only one block away from the school (it was more like a sort of several First Aid rooms put all together in one building with a small amount of Medical Personnel -still on Functions nowadays)
The wounded boy could walk with some difficulty and if there wasn't for the bleeding he said he would have preferred not seeing any doctor at all. I wasn't there to witness this (unfortunately) but according to the story of my classmate, the Male Dr made Tomas and the Professor get inside the small ER while he remained in the hallway (but watching and hearing everything from a short distance since the doors remained open) He said Tomas had to lower his pants to his knees first (with both the Dr and professor assistance) then Dr asked if it hurted and he said it was mostly a burning sensation, he then checked the wound as he wiped around it with a gauze. Fortunately it looked more serious than it really was because all of the bleeding (which had already stopped when they got there) it was not a deep wound and it was about 2,5 Cms long.
But it required one stitch anyways, so the Dr prepared all things he needed and told my classmate Tomas to lower his briefs (which were stained too) to clean the area properly before doing the suture, he hesitated first but he hadn't any choice and did it. He was really embarrassed for being with now a slight pain but also half naked in front of the Dr and the Professor (and my other classmate seeing it all from a distance -and giggling when he saw Tomas totally Red faced and scared because of the needles- ) Although he did his best trying to cover his Balls using one hand, both men had already seen it all. He complained a bit when Dr made the suture.
Everything took half an hour or so, after that he had to wait for the Nurse to give him a shot, some pain killers were proscribed and he was taken home by the Professor in his Car (and released to attend classes the rest of the week) while the rest of us went back home to have lunch and then return to our afternoon shift later.
Tomas returned a week later but skipped 2 PE classes that month till he healed properly. We all made fun of him afterwards when we told him we knew the Professor have seen his "Goodies" and that he almost peed his pants because of his fear for Needles and Knifes!
Up to these days I regret I wasn't the one who accompanied them to that small hospital that day to see everything on that recount with my own eyes!
