Doctors, what are some signs that a patient is secretly enjoying the exam?

Aside from an erection on a male patient, have you ever seen a behavior in a patient that makes you think “hmm, something is definitely going on here”

I sometimes worry that my racing heart rate is a dead giveaway that I’m excited about the exam, though I’ve usually made the excuse that “I’m just nervous” or “I’m really not looking forward to the vaccination that’s coming at the end of the exam”

Anything else you’ve noticed? A patient that is particularly eager to disrobe, or seems to anticipate or intently watch parts of the exam as they unfold?

And patients, what are some behaviors you worry might get you “found out”?

The underwear you are wearing can be a give away, i always wear tightest of briefs for example

In my experience (play exams) I've noticed. I recall parting a patient's labia and being greeted by a "pool" of her vaginal wetness. She was obviously enjoying the anticipation.

I separate real exams from play ones and do not get excited by them, so I have nothing to worry about in regards to a doctor getting suspicious.

In a recent play exam when I started the examination of the external genitalia, I noticed how much lubrication she was excreting.

During the bimanual exam, when I started to palpate her bartholin glands, I could very clearly notice excess lubrication dripping from her vagina. When I inserted the speculum I immediately noticed a pool of lubrication at the bottom of her vaginal canal under her cervix.

It was quite arousing nonetheless.

I mostly worry about my pulse giving me away.

My GP was ruling out a DVT last week and put an oxometer on my finger. It beeped along with my pulse and got faster the more I listened to it. Think she assumed I was nervous.

On my recent hospital experience whilst being prepped for general anaesthetic the nurse commented “you’re enjoying this arn’t you” quite how she knew I don’t know
