This is a real "third rail" among the topics here:
To those currently pushing the agenda, "polically correct/incorrect" can apply to any term which gives them the opportunity to force their very-well-defined-but-contradictory version of the truth into the educational and cultural mainstream.
As an example, during my 58 years on earth, the politically correct term for people of color has mutated from "colored" to "Negro" to "black" to "African-American".
It will mutate again in a few more years. The object, of course, is to stigmatize those who don't follow the "rightspeak" as quickly, usually people in their mature years, as un-hip,
Another example -- exposure of the body for males.
I grew up in the late 50's-60's. In those days, if you were went swimming in an all-male group at your local YMCA, the accepted practice was to swim nude. High school Phys Ed classes always included showers, usually withut individual stalls. Swimwear usually covered from just below the navel to the tobs of the thighs, though anyone past age 12 usually wore a supporter underneath to present a "flat front".
All this started to change with the advancement of feminism and an increase in single-parent (presumably-female-headed) families after 1970. Unlike his older companions, the average under-35 male today presents an image of insecurity in a locker room; the "towel dance" is common, and anyone who dares to wear something that doesn't stetch halfway to the knees is suspected as gay.
So we raise our sons to think like little girls, viewing their physical selves as depreciating assets or tools for bargaining.
I have one last bit of advice for any separated parent, custodial or non-custodial:
If you are thinking of giving your son or daughtree an enema, but are engaged in even the slightest dispute over custody, don't do so without a doctor's written recommendation. Your life could turn into hell-on-earth.
