I heard a story about a guy in hospital who could not take anything orally so everything had to administered by a tube in his asshole one day while a friend was visiting him the nurse came in and asked him if he would like a coffee to which he replied certainly The nurse duly arrived with the coffee and proceeded to insert the tube in his ass and pour the coffer into a funnel attached to the tube Suddenly he let out a scream and the nurse stopped and asked him "was it too hot to which he replied You forgot the sugar

I remember some years ago, when the late Michael Landon was on the Johnny Carson show, and being treated for colon cancerâŚhe remarked that he took coffee enemas. He said, âfill it to the rim, with BrimââŚwhich was a somewhat popular coffee brand at that time.
Can anyone talk about the side effects of coffee enema? example if the next day there is diarrhea or some other effect?
@Brazilian_guyThe coffee enema is part of the Gerson therapy, used to treat certain kinds of liver failure, and is part of my daily routine. The only different after effects from an ordinary enema are (for me) much better liver function, occasionally a bit of caffeine stimulation. If you choose to try a coffee enema, I would advise adding salt (to prevent any electrolyte imbalance) and baking soda to reduce the acidity in the coffee.
I do coffee enemas 2-3 times a week. They are around 50/50 coffee water. Around two quarts. Never had any residual effects. I love them. They relax me. I get great results! Iâve been doing them for around twenty years.
That video is on YouTube, so I watched it. Gives new meaning to The best part of waking up is Folgers in your butt.Dark roast coffee by weight has no more or less caffeine than lighter roasts, so if you're after the caffeine there's no need to buy higher priced beans (seeds, not really beans). Longer roasting times actually decreases the density of the bean, so measuring by scoop or other volume measurement, a lighter roast will have minimally more caffeine.
@waterbottom thank you very much for replying. I saw an excerpt of a report where the participant said she had made a coffee enema, but she did not make clear the reaction the next day. I was curious. I have heard of the enema de cafe for a long time, but I have not had the courage / opportunity.
Coffee enemas have been mentioned in multiple threads and some people have reported getting a buzz from them and others say they haven't. I don't see any benefit to them other than âanother reason to take an enemaâ, which is as good a reason as any! đ I prefer to take my coffee orally!!!
My only additions to this subject is that coffee enemas really clean you out! They get things moving. Also about half of the time I get a nasal flushing response also. So they help flush the Covid boogers out! Lol
We tried one with my late partner and she was not impressed but did get a caffeine buzz.I know Steve McQueen also went to Mexico for cancer treatment and that was the main treatment.

@gwhapThe effects of coffee enemas, like anything else, have to be evaluated in the context of âwhat are you trying to accomplish?â. For certain types of liver failure, the Gerson therapy has proven to be quite effective. Case in point- about ten years ago, I was given six to eight months to live, due to liver, kidney and pancreatic failure. After starting Gerson, my liver panels, blood sugar levels and kidney function had returned to normal. While the coffee enema is a part of Gerson, there is a big lifestyle change as well. No more red meat, tobacco, or alcohol. Gerson also tests for food allergies, and those are also proscribed. As to the coffee enema itself, if I go for a week without, the change begins to show up on the blood work. For others, it is just an excuse for another enema, which by itself can be a great mood enhancer.
I donât know if it is addiction or just a habit, but I enjoy a coffee enema when I have the time. With coffee, I donât believe bigger is better. I do one quart, 105F, with one Tbs of baking soda, held for 15 to 30 minutes. The small quantity makes that easy to do. Coffee is my favorite. I do that more often than soap, salt, or even plain water. It empties me out and I feel good after. I canât think of any reason to stop.
@waterbottomSorry about your liver/kidney/pancreatic problems and glad to hear things seem to be holding at normal. If the coffee enemas are helping you â by all means stick with them.Gerson therapy, however, has not been âprovenâ by any scientific studies to be effective as a cancer or liver treatment. There is little scientific evidence for or against Gerson therapy. Most of the studies promoting it are from alternative medicine practitioners and are anecdotal â not independent per-reviewed scientific studies.Like any alternative medicine some people swear by its benefits and others regard it as snake oil. Iâm really not in a position to say one way or the other, only that I would need a more sound foundation before I would entertain or promote it.
@gwhap:I know that a lot of âfactsâ about the Gerson are mostly fertilizer, but as modern medicine had given up on me, and doing the Gerson turned everything around, it would seem that the empirical evidence is there. I also believe that the elimination of the foods that I am allergic to, and the other life style changes are a very big part in my recovery, all part of Gerson. One of the doctors that I see is very interested in gathering info on Gerson, hence the periodical blood panels. While the number of those that he is seeing that are on Gerson is so small that there is absolutely no stastical relevance yet, the before and after results do indicate improvement. As I said before, Gerson is only effective in certain liver problems, and not a universal âcure allâ.
A number of years back my sub wanted a coffee enema to help keep him awake while driving overnight. He said it did a very good job.

@MissStress,Did he hold it while driving? Or just empty before starting the drive?EricHe was enemaed before going. But he tried to retain it as long as he could.
I canât imagine that people addicted to coffee enemas are doing them just for the âliver detox.â Those women on YouTube who say they were freaked out at first, but are now admitting they âenjoyâ them â hmm, seems like they are hiding the best part.
I once gave a coffee enema to my late partner and she didn't care for it. She didn't seem too buzzed from it either although I would think that the caffeine would have some effect. She liked just a high hot one with a little soap.
