An authoritarian attitude has always been a part of my medical fetish. This arises from my physicals as a kid and teenager in the 1970s and 1980s with some doctors who gave commands rather than coaxing us along. Not long ago, I had an older friend who had been an RN and who had worked at a pediatric clinic tell me that that used to be an intentional thing done with kids and teenagers. So, I looked it up and have found it discussed in books. I just found it here:
From page 372 of A GUIDE TO PHYSICAL EXAMINATION by Barbara Bates:
"A firm tone of voice and unequivocal instructions should be used when the child is asked to perform certain tasks pertaining to the examination. He should be told what to do rather than asked to do it. For example, "roll over on your belly" rather than "will you roll over on your belly for me?"
Does anyone else recall this practice from that time period and does it play any part in your fetish now?
