Vintage nozzle dimensions

I've had exposure to 3D printers pretty much since they came out. We use them for prototype work. And even though the item lacks the integrity of the actual finished part, it can put something in the customer's hands to give them a feel for what it will look like.

But there's also a technology using just about any metal that can be drawn into a wire ....... even titanium ....... to make shapes with high integrity. And they've even been able to make things like hollow ball bearings with this method.

FFMF, or free-form metal fabrication has been around for several years, but there's very little on the internet about it. Very little.

But think of stainless steel and brass for nozzles or butt plugs that would just require a slight polish to make a wonderful item.

Oddly enough, in the stuff I got from my Mom, That first bag which must date to around 1972 or 3, has a douche nozzle that is the same length and the same diameter at the tip, but is 1/8 inch wider in the shaft than the ones bought later!

It would be great if someone could recreate the super vic and Mrs colonic cane nozzles Beth Tyler used to sell.

I'm sure glad I got my Ms Colonic Cane nozzle (#BT-04😎 and have certificate when I did. I just wish I had also bought the Super Vic nozzle.

If you will click on my pictures, the Ms Colonic Cane nozzle is the tall one in the center of the menorah picture. It is 10" long x 1 1/4" thick at the business end; and DAMN does it feel great having a buddy use it on the prostate. If I'm not mistaking, while Beth Tyler sold them, they were made by a man in Canada and shipped to them and other dealers. Mine is engraved on the nozzle with BT-048 and have the certificate signed by Ms Colonic Cane...whoever that was. It is a great nozzle. The Super Vic was about the same, but only 9" long and about 1" thick.

Mainly using silicone nozzles now since getting a bunch of them 2 weeks ago.

Wow! Did I really start this? Haven't been following it, so only just come back aftr quite the absence. Thank you all for your information, and I'm glad you're enjoying such a fine discussion.

Our nozzles which the catalogs called pipes were the standard black ones. For enemas there was the bat shaped type that was maybe 3 - 4 inches long. Mom had a douche nozzle that was much longer and bent in the middle, which I suppose was to reduce the chance of the hose kinking if she was douching on the toilet.

I remember the black bat-shaped enema nozzles and the black, fluted douche nozzle that was much longer and bent in the middle from back in the 1950s. I think it was bent to make it easier to douche in the bathtub as well as on the toilet. That bend would help reduce the chance of kinking as the rubber hose came up from between her spread open legs to the douche bag hanging from a towel rack, shower curtain rod or wherever she hung it from when she douched. I wish I had that black, curved and fluted douche nozzle or a new one just like it.

I also wish I had measured them back then, but I never though of doing it. I guess I just figured they would always be around. Sadly they are not still manufactured for use today.

Most modern douche and enema nozzles for fountain or combination syringes are virtually the same as those of even 100 years ago. The only differences are:

The modern, fluted douche nozzles are really only different in being straight, rather have a slight curve. Not all of the old ones were curved. It is easy enough to curve a modern one, BTW. Just put it into boiling water for 2 or 3 minutes and it will become pliable. Bend it to your desired shape and let it cool. Wear gloved as the nozzle will be hot.

The 'bat' shaped enema nozzles were only slightly larger near the tip and did little to aid retention. The ones that were most contoured were part of the Shy kit. They actually did retain better, but the Shy was difficult to use for enemas and only the early kits had the rectal nozzle. In the pic, the rectal nozzle is second from the left.he curved section is used with both the enema and douche nozzles.

I noticed reference to the Ms Colonic Cane nozzle. Although I never met her, I remember that in the 1980's (1990's?) she was a domme in Toronto who was an expert in administering enemas and colonics. I remember reading an article about the writer's session with her. The unique detail in the article that stuck with me was the fact that she put a hollow tube in him to release any gas prior to administering the E or C. He said she did that to prevent any cramps the gas could cause making for a much more comfortable experience. Although I can't remember for sure, Water and Power might have been the magazine the article was in. I will say that joining this forum and reading all of the topics and questions posted is prompting recillections and memories I haven't thought about for decades. I like that. Thanks for being here.

I remember mothers nozzles, she had a little white childrens shoe box she kept them in which was stored under her bathroom sink with her bags. They were all black and almost all had a bend in them. Some were smooth with a big bulge at the end, some just tapered and got progressively bigger towards the end, some flutted some smooth. I would always stand there stripped naked and watch her pick through her box deciding which one she was going to use that day. Such great memories

Those nozzles sound like the old fashioned douche nozzles rather than enema nozzles @mothers boy I often wondered why the old enema nozzles were so short.

I can only recall receiving enemas from an enema bag . I know that my mother did in fact use an ' infant enema bulb ' syringe for me when I was an infant as she said she did . I did find the ' infant enema bulb ' one day when I was ' browsing ' about in bathroom cabinet . The ' bulb syringe ' was red with a short white rectal tip . I got up the courage to ' ask her ' if this was ' the one ' and with her signature pretty smile she simply said yes . My home enemas as I recall were always from a ' bag ' using the mid-size ' adult rectal ' tip . Later mom transitioned me to the larger ' douche nozzle ' for my rinse enema .

The ' douche ' quite filled me even with a half length insertion but later I was able to ' take ' the full length which I think was about five inches . The large black ' bulbous head ' was a bit intimidating at first entry attempt but later became a pleasurable sensation as I matured . Thanks mom ……………. those were the days .

I remember years after getting many enemas I got the courage to look in the linen closet and open the box while nobody was home. I learned there was three nozzles. I know now we only got the children's size it was a couple inches shorter than the adult size enema one. The adult or longer enema one as well as the douche one were never out of the plastic bag they came in. In retrospect we my sister and I were the only ones that got enemas ???

Efun: Could it be your mother had a second bag for use on herself, perhaps in another bathroom? (In those days it was common for women to douche so surprising the douche nozzle was still packed) Or maybe she used the child nozzle for everybody?

@John Sitter I fear I owe you an apology, because I never thanked you properly for your wonderful post here. It gave me such a lot of information in a clear and concise way.

I hope others will not be upset if I single John out, I have been hugely grateful for all your replies, but John's in particular encapsulates everything I wanted to know when I originally posted this. So thanks again John. But of course a huge thank you to all of you, you've all been very kind.

Quick question if you're seeing this John, you said of the retention nozzle it was 3/4 inch at widest. Is that three quarters of an inch, (assuming so) or 3 to four inches? Ouch! Sure it's the former but just thought I'd ask. This reply is far too late and I can't believe I never did it before. Or perhaps I did and I'm just missing it now. I fear my brain is ageing faster than my body.

Has none of you guys used the "silver bullet", made of aluminum, developed by the "collector", founder of the early website enemarotica? The shape of this tip was designed to prevent slipping out during the enema. It was used in most of his enemarotica movies.

Newb here. A little late to the party, and a little off topic, but does anyone know what happened to Ms Colonic Cane, or of she's still doing her thing in Toronto? I was lucky enough to have seen her a number of times when I was visiting Toronto and to say she changed my life is an understatement. She was certainty one of a kind, and IMHO, THE BEST!

There's also Country Of Origin as a consideration as the Cannulas (nozzles) available here are & were different in design to that of say the US

Those that I'd known given the time period mostly were of either German origin (Continental brand), English mfg products or Australian made goods which was limited in supply, presumably attributable to cost … lmported goods of the time were relatively inexpensive

Nozzle sets were made up of 3 components . .1) Inline On / Off Bakelite Tap Body, 2) Rectal cannula ranging from 3 to 4 inches in length with bulbous tip 3) Bowed Bakelite or Vulcanite Douche nozzle that varied in both girth & length, sometines 4 PC's to a set & 5 with the Whirling spray bulbs . . .They were constructed of either Bakelite or Vulcanite, with the Glycerine syringe being glass barrelled / Bakelite crook'd nozzle with Bakelite end cap/ plunger assembly . . . Later replaced by nickel chrome over brass body syringes & two tips - curved offset & straight

Also with the douche nozzle they varied insofar that they came in a number of design configurations - such as replaceable screw on/off tips and the number of jet ports, nearly all have a jet hole centred at the distal tip & when assembled ready for use measured between 7 inches & 8 ¾ inches long

There was also a range of French made Pyrex Glass nozzles ( Rectal & Vaginal) that are considerably larger in overall size . . . Mostly of clinical application . . .One such French cannula is of approx 10" long X 5/8" dia with 16 jet ports

What I like about them is they are all smooth to the touch . .none have ribbed edges with holes that have sharpish edges and last but not least slide in & out so wickedly easy . . .ooooooh !

Larger nozzles were produced that i have copies of, several had a 7/8” tip that tapered back to ½ “ & were 8” long & felt wicked good upon insertion & in & out movements !

@codjer I've long been wondering if the big douche nozzles of decades ago were not intended for a secondary use as sex aids.

Some nozzles used the metric threads or British “whitworth” threads! I dont think there was any standard thread for rubber devices !

Pecan very definitely some old douche nozzles were dildo substitutes. Before the 1960s it was totally illegal to send sex toys through the mail. and they did prosecute people for that. But a medical device was completely legal. There are dozens of old douche nozzle patents and none of them are tiny.
