Examination when younger

My theory is that during an examination at an early age three things become associated: An acutely embarrassing experience, some kind of reaction, eg an erection and the figure of the doctor. These simultaneous occurances perhaps forge synaptic links in the developing brain causing future similar thoughts or experiences to be assosiated and thus re creating the original feelings.
