Surgery is more of a reality for me than than a fantasy or a fetish, but there are many aspects of the process that I thoroughly enjoy as a fantasy.
I've had 25 surgeries starting back in February 1980 with an inguinal hernia with four days in the hospital because they made a 5-inch cut to open me up. Prior to the surgery, a male nurse shaved me from my belly button to my knees. This was the olden days of hernia surgeries.
I love the prep for surgery and the feeling of going under with the anesthesia. I love to fight the pull of the anesthesia and stay awake as long as I can.
In June, I will have my 26th surgery, an abdominal-hernia repair, but this will be outpatient.
In between these two hernia repairs, I've had 10 spine surgeries with 14 fused discs. I've had prostate reduction surgery (TURP) as well as two cystoscopies. I don't remember much about the first one with a male doctor and a nurse, but I remember the second one with a female doctor, a female nurse, and my wife in the room. I loved having the camera inserted into my penis and then seeing the view of the "tunnel" ride up and into the bladder.
Dr. Kinsey went up and turned around to show everyone the throat of the bladder and the little bump that we were looking for. Yes, the bump was indeed there in the throat. No, it was not large enough to hinder the flow of urine. No, she didn't need to remove it. She gave us a nice tour of the bladder, top, sides, and bottom into the throat. Then she asked if I could pee so she could see the bladder walls functioning.
"Uh, Dr. Kinsey, I sort have a shy bladder. I have a hard time peeing in a public restroom when there is an audience. I really like you and your nurse, but I'm not close enough to either of you to just relieve myself right now. And with a camera all the way up my urethra, I'm gonna need to be alone with my wife. Not for a conjugal visit, of course. I would under normal circumstance, but the camera equipment is sort of in the way. Maybe after you remove it. And you can stay if you like to see the prostate function or to participate or just to observe. Your choice. Just saying"
Dr. Kinsey said she completely understood. She had met many a shy bladder in her days as a doctor, a urologist, no less. She and the nurse left and with my wife in the room, I was able to empty my bladder.
