Cold or Iced Water Enema Volume

I think even severe sunstroke and dehydration a hospital might give a cool water enema for help bring the body temp down and re-hydrate the body.

But ice water ? Seems a rather cold way to approach the issue !!

I would not want an ice water enema , warm is fine by me !!

Cool (not ice) water enemas for fever or overheating can help but aren’t commonly prescribed. Too cold water in an enema or ice bath can constrict the blood vessels and actually worsen the problem. Spraying alcohol on the abdomen helps as it cools as it evaporates (we always carried rubbing alcohol when upland hunting in case a dog overheated). Cool compresses are also effective.

Ice water enemas are a bit extreme to play with, especially with long retention times. Cool tap water enemas produced cramps and are a better alternative. (IMHO).

LOL @Sudsy_Girl me too. Post 328.

I usually take warm water enemas but have found that cold water enema are great for a different sensation. No to ice-water though.

In my early enema fetish I would get drunk and put ice cubes in my ass. I managed to get 10 in there and that was hard to hold

@MissStress . I ice water is one of your top 5 painful enemas. What are they other 4

My wonderful colon hydrotherapist told me that she was given, against her will, an enema with cold water. When she queried this the nurse said "I am a RN and I know what I am doing"! Although my therapist has very serious bowel problems she never went back! I know it's a case of "warm to relax, cool to energise" but, for me enemas are for cleansing and relaxing and the thought of having cold water in my bowel is a complete NO NO!!

Ice cold or even cold water given in an enema can send a body into shock. It’s a risk you don’t want to take.

Be very careful doing this !! - your intestines are a very sensitive part of the body !! - so, please don't injure / damage it !! - phantasies maybe great, but the truth is another thing !!
