Yes, I'm a cold water fan.
Cold tap water varies in temperature seasonally, at least in my town. In summer the tap water is cold enough to feel pleasantly cool, but rarely induces cramps. In winter its damn cold, and unless I have a specific reason not to I usually take the edge off that chill by adding just a little hot to the bag. I have used a thermometer to test the temperature, but I find my fingers have learned to judge it pretty well.
The sensation of cold water is quite different from warm water, and as others have mentioned the cold is very easily discerned as it makes its way inside the colon. I don't find the way it feels to be unpleasant, and I often will enjoy alternating warm and cold enemas.
Both cold tap water (maybe in the range of 50 to 65 degrees F)and true ice-water (at 32 degrees F with cubes floating in it) have the ability to produce in me wondrously delicious cummie-like slow wringing cramps. Others' experiences may vary, but for me repeated cold enemas can induce a whole-body sexual orgasm, nothing more nothing less.
Very cold water, if flowed in quickly, causes what to me is horrific discomfort. Yet if trickeled in slowly, it gradually numbs the nerve endings and I don't find it to hurt at all. It makes a very interseting retention experience.
But keep very cold enemas small in volume for safety sake. Chilling our colons may be a surprisingly enjoyable experience. But if we are seriously reducing the temperature of our colon, we are likely to reduce our core body temperature. Systemic hypothermia is absolutely a life-threatening situation. So its important to do something like snuggle up to a couple of hot water bottles to prevent hypothermia before it starts by replacing the heat the enemas are carrying away. This will not only make the experience more enjoyable, but also safer.
I have an anecdote about that. One summer while in college I lived with three other girls in a small apartment in Phoenix. One hot July day the cooler failed, and it quickly became 110 degrees inside. I snuck a small ice water enema, and while retaining it stayed quite comfortable!
Hugs,
