I remember, when I was about 8 being at my cousin's house when I lived near Chester. Her brother and myself were in her bedroom and she put on a pair of plastic pants in front of us. They were semitransparent unisex ones like the ones I wear now. I don't think there were any other type available back in the 70's in England.
She then told me to put some on, but I refused. Boy though! I wished I could have put some on, but I was worried her mother might come in the room and see me. My father would have killed me. That sent the early emotions skyward for me. I envied her
I wished my parents had let me keep my plastic pants for years after I had been out of them.
Somebody at my junior school used to put his teddy bear in his old plastic pants and bring it to school as a maskot on sports day during the summer. I then tried to make some plastic pants out of shopping bags and put an old teddy bear in them. My father went Ballistic 😁
I have a pair of nursery print pinkish plastic pants I wear sometimes.
I wonder if many of us were allowed by parents to keep our diapers and plastic pants after we were out of them. I certainly was not, probably because I wore them till I was six for bedwetting heavily, so by the time I did eventually stop, my parents couldn't get rid of the gear fast enough. 😃
I wonder if my female cousin still like wearing them or making her partner put them on her-and him. She was always very infantile and I don't think the liking for nappies would wear of anybody once deeply engrained.
