I do and it was a long, long time ago. The thrill of having the cool glass rod slipped in my little pucker has stayed with me for almost 50 years.

My rectal temperature taking fetish began with a hospital say in 1960's upon admittance the nurse told me to rollover on to my tummy and proceeded to take my temperature rectally. She said it was more accurate this way.

Mine was when I was married. My wife at the time wasn't feeling well. Her being from a foriegn country , rectal temperature was normal protocol for her. Which I had no idea. She said " I'm not feeling well,would you check my temperature for me? " I replied "sure, got sit on the couch and I'll be in." She said "we can't do out there!" I still wasn't catching on. She said " go get the thermometer and the Vaseline, I'll be waiting on the bed." I did as she asked. I remember walking to the medicine cabinet in disbelief of what I was about to do. As I got the thermometer and the Vaseline my heart started racing. I was getting erect just thinking about it. It was in the early 90's when you could get the good glass thermometer with the bulbus end. That is exactly the kind she had purchased too!

When I walked in the room she had removed her pajama bottoms already and was laying face down on the bed. She had her head turned looking at me and said " come on , I need to know if I have a fever. " I was still in shock...I honestly didn't know what to do. She pushed her self up on her elbows and said "give me that" referring to the thermometer. I complied. She shook it down and handed it back to me. She said " now lube the tip and insert it in my butt gently about half way" I dunked the thermometer in the jar and spread her cheeks and began inserting the thermometer. I was amazed at how it slid right in and then she puckered her bottom a little to ensure it was seated well. She said "there now time it for four minutes." I stood staring at the glorious sight of the thermometer protruding from her bottom. I was so hard I couldn't keep time.

I don't recall having my mother take my temp rectally but that may be due to repression versus never having her do that. I do recall that our first pediatrician would have the nurse take it or do it himself. Mom would have us undress and turn onto our tummies when we went for physicals and await the nurse's hand! That's clearly my first memory and one that has remained etched into my psychie....the waiting with my rump in the air either naked or with the gown open such that I am so exposed and vulnerable. Heard a RN tell a woman who'd brought her daughter (a late age teen) into the ER that the girl's temperature would be taken "rectally". (Didn't see it, but heard the commotion when the nurse entered the curtained exam area and obviously started the procedure.

I dated a nurse, who at the first sign of an illness; she'd bring me into the bedroom and take a rectal temperature on me.

Last, not that these are the only memories, but I have over the years come to know medical professionals from MDs to aides who were and some still are staunch supporters of the RT method, often using the expression..."The gold standard of temperature taking".

I have no recollection of my temp being taken that way as a child, but one of my most powerful memories is the doctor examining my anus around age 12. After that my interest was set in stone for life. Though I put a thermometer (and other things!) in my own bottom during my teenage years, I did not have my temp taken rectally until a girlfriend and I played doctor one afternoon when I was in my early 30s. Intense memories of those sessions!

I have no doubt my temperature was checked rectally as a new born and infant. Of course, I have no memories of those. In fact, I do not ever recall a rectal temperature check, but I don't doubt they happened when I was little. Guess I missed out on some real fun.

The story about Kevin is a true one. I'll tell you more at a future time. Actually, my first turn- ons was about a year before Kevin and his family moved across the street. My cousin, Tara, moved in with us when I was almost 11 and she was 5. Thanks to my mother, a lot of kids in our neighbourhood had their temps taken rectally. As I said, a lot of moms called mine for advice because she had been a pediatric nurse. Up until the time that my cousin Tara moved in and shared my bedroom I at least, had my privacy whenever my bottom was bared for mom's thermometer- or paddle! My younger brother was not as lucky.

He was always a bit on the hyperactive side, so mom used to take his temperatures over her knee in the bathroom. Since we only had one phone at the time on the kitchen wall mom would tell me to answer the phone, in case it rang. Not only did I get to see my brother (and later Tara) get their temps taken over-the-knee. Mom would sometimes ask me to get the thermometer from the bathroom medicine chest, while she sat on the toilet seat cover, took their pants down, and put them over her knee.
