How much cardiac equipment do you have ?

Don't know if this is posted already but curious to all members of how much stuff do you have ? Myself , I have two ekg machines one with defibrillator one with out , two bp cuffs , and a few good stethoscopes , what do you have and why ?

You have a defibrillator? I hope you're up on current events. Be very careful with that. It could be a one way trip. I use them all the time and still I treat them with great respect.

Have a very good cardiology stethoscope, BP apparatus (sphygnomanometer), and rest of all physical exam equipment (tongue depressors, thermometers, otoscope, proctoscope & speculum -both sims and cusco). My favourite is obviously stethoscope, which is with a heavy stainless steel chest piece and nice 27' tubing.

I have four stethoscopes - 1 Graham-Field/Labtron Ford-Bowles (black), 1 Thinklabs DS32A Electronic, 1 Littmann Cardiology III (navy blue), and 1 Welch Allyn Harvey DLX double-head (black). I also have a doppler.

I have mainly old equipment, things I find at antique and junk markets. If you live in a large urban area, it is often amazing what you can find at flea markets or secondhand and consignment stores. And at cheap prices as well.

Anyway, I've bought some half dozen or more old clyster syringes, from small sized to intimidatingly huge, mostly in metal with glass receptacles, several old injection syringes with needle sets and doodads (for display only), medical calipers, 2 anal speculums, an anoscope, various types of sounds and clamps, a wicked looking spiked wheel for sensitivity testing, a few rubber tipped hammers to test reflexes, small aural speculums and whatnot kinds of odd things thrown together for sale together.

And truly, I have left unbought far more than this, including gyn chairs, small exam tables, operating lights, whole sets of sounds, vaginal speculums, ultraviolet light glass cathode sets and many injection and clyster syringes ...

As far as heart related things go, I just have two stethoscopes and a blood pressure cuff. One steth is a sprague rappaport, the other is a Littmann lightweight.

My "collection" is pretty insignificant so far but then I am yet to put any of this to use with a play partner. I do have an ECG monitor, which I am really quite pleased about. It was a bargain on Ebay that just had to be snapped up. It's old but it reads a rhythm. I also have a small home BP monitor and a cheapo steth. I can upgrade as and when but for a relative newbie it's OK. I want to get some masks and tubing.

Seriously, if you've EVER charged the capacitor, there's a residual charge there. It's likely enough to kill.

I've seen ventricular fibrillation from an accidental discharge of a defibrillator. Thank god we were there to shock the individual again.

I've discharged capacitors across my hand before whilst at work - I was fault finding on the circuit in question at the time.

The kick is far worse than it would have been if the capacitor wasn't there. I'm glad it was just across my hand and not across my heart - I wouldn't like to consider the potential outcomes if it had been.

Once used by electrical engineers to ensure capacitors were discharged and the circuit was safe to work on.

Several stethoscopes, a proctoscope, an autoclave, lots of scalpels, boxes and boxes of disposable gloves, tons of enema equipment.

Complete exam room with table and stirrups. Wall mounted BP. Two vital signs monitors. Neither have EKG. Still working on that. One has pulse ox and beeps with heartbeat. Multiple BP cuffs of every major brand, numerous stethoscopes. Littmanns mostly. Swabs, specula, otoscope, lots of gloves, double balloon rectal catheter, blood drawing gear. Anything needed for a play exam basically😃

I have a stehoscope, blood pressure cuff, Thermometers and from time to time syrenges.

A couple of Littmann stethoscopes, Mercury sphygmomanometer & aneroid type at present.

I counted the other day and found out that I own 14 stethoscopes and 19 blood pressure cuffs, as well as lots of other misc tools. 😜

I had a clear out of a lot of the stuff I had around the place a couple of years or so ago so out went the ekg machines, holter monitor and docking station and much more. I'm mainly interested in recording audio so still have a number of stethoscopes including some electronic, a couple of dedicated teahing amp units with steth input, filters and several outputs, a couple of good radio mics which do away with the need for wires when recording ...and I dare say there is still a few other bits and bobs tucked away.

For those with an extensive collection of EKG machines and so on. If you ever decide to get rid of your collection please consider donating it to a charity. Such items could would be most appreciated by medical facilities in poor or third world areas.

I only have 2 stethoscopes unfortunately. A cheap one and a Littmann.

11 acoustic stethoscopes (various manufacturers and models), 2 electronic stethoscopes, 2 teaching stethoscopes (for two listeners), one wooden pinard horn, two simple ultrasounds, one very simple (2 electrode) ECG, two BP cuffs (one with a set of different sized cuffs). Always loved listening to heartbeats, so getting a stethoscope was natural, then with eBay, there are always new ones to collect.

Recently expanded my collection. Two blood pressure cuffs and five stethoscopes, including an AllHeart Cardiology stethoscope with my name engraved into the bell!

I've got many stethoscopes - too many, really! So, I recently sent seven of them to the producers of the legendary OPANDER exam vids and orderes a custom vid, in which all their stethoscopes will be featured. As soon as this vid will be on their sales list, you'll have the chance to see many of "my" steths in action on lovely girls' breasts !!!

I have a couple of steth's a couple BP cuffs and a couple defibs with ekg.

Hmm.. 12 lead ekg, 3 lead cardiac monitor with strip recorder, traditional mercury column Baum cuff in each room (rarely used) Critakon automated bp monitor with pulse ox, plus a few other assorted odds and ends.

I have a Cardiomart brand cardiology stethoscope, it's an off-brand copy of the Littmann Cardio II, pretty good steth, it will pick up anything inside my patient that makes a sound. I have a regular blood pressure cuff (aneroid type) and a BP/pulse monitor that takes a reading from the index finger.
