Clit size

I feel like a I have an unusually large clit and the skin around the end of my lips is a wine color. It makes me very self conscious...some past boyfriends have said it was really pretty...any thoughts?

I wouldn't feel self conscious.. Heck, I would love to have a larger clit.. I wish THAT was possible..

I actually found a clit size study and chart long ago. There isn't a link anymore and I can't post attachments here, so I'll just summarize. These are diameters (distance across) in millimeters and non-erect.

Small: 1-2 mm, Normal: 3-6 mm, Large: 7-15 mm the Average is: 4.4

The average non-erect length is: 5 mm.

In my experience, really large clits are very rare.

You can enlarge them greatly with suction. Sorry I can't attach pics here. It doesn't last very long, but increases the sensitivity and makes it easier to retract the hood and massage.

Well, as a glamour photographer and playdoc of many years experience I have yet to develop an opinion on what is normal!

Clitori (the plural is variously defined) range from non existent (or at least deeply embedded) to upwards of 2". Some are erectile to a large degree, others barely at all.

Vulvae (see above) vary enormously. The overall length varies greatly from a couple of inches to four inches or so. Protuberance of both labia majora and minora ranges from hardly protuberant to very pronounced, especially labia minora which can be totally hidden or extending several inches (the perception of ladies on whether this is 'beautiful' or not varies equally enormously).

Colouration, beside the obvious ethnic differences, is likewise wide ranging, from near white to purple/black.

Another variation, which I've never seen discussed anywhere, is the proximity of the lower end of the vulva to the anus (the perineum). In my experience this is probably the most wide ranging variation in terms of measurement, from 0.5" to 4".

So, Onehotteacher 13 (and all other ladies who worry) you are most certainly normal, whatever that might mean. I'm sure your genitals are beautiful.

And to my gentleman readers - I've seen a lot of male genitals and they vary too, though there is probably more overestimation of size by our gender!

As for me - any clitoris or labia is attractive, each in their own way. As long as stimulation of a woman's clitoris causes excitation, it's average 😄

It would be fairly simple to construct a device for precise measurement of the clitoris. This instrument would be of considerable value when applied to a global study of clitoris size. A database could be compiled by examining a large random sample of women in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North America, South America, Central America, and the Pacific Islands. The examinations would be conducted both with the women in sexually excited and unexcited states.

I'm not sure what the standard would be but it would sure be fun to conduct the necessary trials in order to develop one. 😁

Unless there were more nerve endings, I doubt it would be more sensitive based on size. And I am pretty sure that the number of nerve endings remains fairly constant across different women, or at least I have read that is true.

It is amazing how sensitive some women find their clits to be. I had a girl friend once who loved me to do oral sex on her. And she had a beautiful pussy so I loooved to oblige. Quite right. In terms of sensitivity there's no difference in my experience as a playdoc. It is however a fact that rarely do women cum as a result of pure vaginal intercourse and the more prominent a clitoris is the more it is likely to get stimulated during sex. Equally, certain positions promote penile contact with the clitoris

That being said though, even a tiny or deeply embedded clitoris can easily be stimulated during intercourse, by the fingers etc and of course in a masturbatory session by either a partner or the woman alone, size it not a real issue.

As I understand it the clitoral nerves continue down the side of the rectum which is why, if all other factors are right, women are more likely to have an orgasm from anal sex that vaginal sex. Your right BigK, that is why foreplay, and proper clitoral stimulation is so important to a woman during intercourse. If a man spends a good deal of time bringing the woman to orgasm during foreplay, then her orgasms are so much better during intercourse. So many men do not take their time and properly stimulate a woman prior to intercourse, they just get in a hurry, get off, and leave the woman hanging.

I think everyone has covered most topics, but I would like to add that plastic surgeons are rich because women are convinced they don't look like they "should". "Should" is a result of mainstream porn and Playboy and averages. Remember that "average" is the middle number of all variety taken together. I would imagine very few women fall directly into the middle "average" stats. I, for one, think that the variety in women's bodies is something to be cherished and appreciated. That said, I'm terribly self-conscious. 😃 However, I believe much of it is due to the bombardment of entertainment shows that depict this "average" beauty and what men find attractive. From personal experience, people like a whole range of things. It would be a damn shame if we eliminated all variety and all had a medium-sized clit, reduced our labia and shaved every hair that wasn't on our heads.

I have a small clit. My first few boyfriends didn't find it, but I attribute that to their inexperience instead of my shortcoming. I do, though, have inner labia that are quite asymmetrical. One is tiny, pink, and shiny, but the other is bigger (occasionally peeks out from between my outer labia), brown, and slightly textured. I have felt that my vagina was ugly my whole life. I am totally happy with my body, and I have no problem with having sex with the lights on, but if a man wants to go down on me it better be in total darkness! I have even thought about having cosmetic surgery to make my larger lip smaller to match the little one. I once went down on a 16 year old girl (I was underage as well at the time), and she had the most perfect, shiny, pink labia. It made me feel so ugly that I didn't even let her return the favor. I have never had a man criticize me for it, but it always bothers me. :-(
