Colon Tubes: Where and what to buy?

I'm seeking to get the optimum equipment set up. Do any of you have experience of using different tube diameters. A small tube might deliver the liquid slowly whereas a large diameter tube might give a sudden rush. Any views on what is best or the pros and cons of small diameter vs. large.

Depends on what you mean by the TUBE?

Are you talking about the nozzle or the tubing from bag to nozzle???

I use a variety of nozzles and some have very large holes in them like the barium enema nozzles, its not the size of the holes that regulates the flow, its your clamp and height of bag that does that depending on how high you hang the bag a normal height is about 18 inches to 2 feet above the bummy and that will give a slow to moderate enema, Higher than that will work but expect some bad cramps. You can even use your fingers on the rubber hose to regulate the flow, but I prefer one of those plastic ratchet type clamps to control the flow, Most drug store enema bags now come with that type of clamp and they use those type of clamps all the time for barium enemas in hospitals. the slower the flow the better, Stay away from those slip type of plastic clamps as its very hard to regulate the flow with them.

Has anybody used a 48"-50" Fr 40 or larger tube? I would like to try but first go to school on those who have used such a colon tube. I would appreciate a very "full" description. Thanks, mates

Hi George yes I have 3 48 French Scale Colonic Tubes and they work great and you get a great enema from them plus a rapid flow. Mine are Porges Colonic Tubes ,made in France....John Waters

I have a 48FR colon tube that is about 30 inches long. I have never inserted it more than about 18 inches because it is far more rigid than my smaller colon tubes. I enjoy it nonetheless.

I have an F48 48" colon tube which I can occasionally get in all the way for an excellent high enema. However, I found it tended to kink or refuse to go around all the necessary corners. So I connected together two F28 30" colon tubes and found I could almost always get that in the full destance for fine enemas.

So then I went looking for "thin" extra long colon tubes and was able put together a fine collection from India. I find the relatively small F22 60" open ended tube to work best for me

Most recently www.optimalhealtnetwork.com began offering an F30 30" closed end silicone colon tube, which works great with their 4 quart silicone enema bag. It is now my "standard enema". The F30 size is also the same size and their silicone hose, so if one has a "smooth connector" (which I do) one can continue on past the end of the colon tube and create one of as long a length as one can handle. (I also use a flow meter in the hose to monitor the rate and make sure I don't have a kink stopping the flow.)

OHN also now has a silicone F42 closed end colon tube in 24", 36" or 48" lengths, which I find to be excellent, especially the 48". The silicon colon tubes have a somewhat larger wall diamater than traditional orange "rubber" tubes, and are much less prone to kinking. I can get my F42 48" silicone colon tube in all the way, every time! Highly recommended, with zero self-interest here.

My first experience with a colon tube was provided by my grandmother when I was about 12. Her sister was a nurse and my grandmother had quite an enema collection.

I'm not really sure what the fascination is with colon tubes, aside from the invasive nature of using them. They can put the water past the first few turns, so maybe a bit less initial resistance. But, you don't feel the water rushing in. So, I have a few but don't use them much.

Yes,I have a colon tube that is 30 inches long, too. Usually I have inserted it about 25 inches. No problem.

French sizes are easy to understand. Here is how it works. The number is the CIRCUMFERENCE of the tube in millimeters. To get the diameter, you divide the circumference by pi--3.14. Dividing it by 3 is close enough to give you an idea.

The French size of catheters was invented by a Frenchman surgical instrument maker named Joseph-Frédéric-Benoît Charrière who lived in the 1800's. The scale used to bear his name, but has long since been re-named the "French" scale.

I have only used a small dia tube, which is grest for a slow release, but i am unsure of the length that is safe?

I have a larger tube - and typically get it in 12 inches. Would love to get it in the full 24, but I'll keep working at it. The trick is to take your time and work with it. Part of the thrill is taking your time!

I curently use a 36" tube. Open end made from vacuum tube wgich was boiled, then stored in mineral oil to soften it.

It worls fine.

I wnat to buy a longer tube. 48-50" long in the 42-48fr width range.

I have heard about "kinking." I have not experienced much of that with my tube.

I am looking at rubber 50"x48fr Colon Tubes from RoJo.(closed end)

Someone suggested a Siklicone 48'x42fr from OHN.(plugged end)

Has anybody had any experince with RoJo's Colon Tubes? 😄

I generally use lots of lube (KY or Astriglide) and elet water in about every 6-12". 😃

I recommend OptimalHealthNetwork.com. It's a totally straight, health oriented site, with very good equipment and service. Their top-of-the-line silicone 4 qt enema bag with silicone hose and silicone colon tube is my personal FAV. (I have NO self-interest in this recommendation.)

I was thinking about getting a long colon tube. Ive seen a place selling a 48" * 20fr but i dont know if this will be too thin and prone to kink and stop the enema flow. Have any of you had experience on this.

Don't even bother with that. You won't get it in at all.

BUT, 20 Fr in a colon tube 48" long is probably a misprint. Ask them for correct information. 20 Fr is the size of a medium sized urinary catheter.

I have tried the thin colon tubes and agree they benb and kink. I have never had luck with it and threw it away

What size was that one you tried and it got all bent? What size do you have now and have you had better luck with a thicker one?

ROJO Enterprises is my preferred seller as they know why I am buying the equipment, and are totally ok with it. Also, the prices are way less than Optimal Health Network, but the quality is comparable and they have some bags and enema can that I haven't seen anywhere else on the web. My only interest is in this recomendation is my disdain for Kristina of OHN.

A colon tube really needs to be at least 30Fr to avoid kinking, no matter what the material. What's the hesitancy to move up from 22Fr? A standard enema tube is no bigger than 22Fr, and I routinely do urethral catheter play with a 24Fr foley.

I like the 32 FR Silicone one that OHM sells, and have also a 40 FR Silicone that is 48" even with a larger diam as the 32 FR it still can double back and has a way of sneaking out and finding day light.

Have purchased many things from Pranny1- they are great for getting imported Euro enema gear.
