Do women desire to control men?

Nothing of course. It's just evolved to its present incarnation. One shouldn't be too rigid about these things. Bring it back on topic if you like. I always think flexibility is the key to a happy life.

Jds4med you are exactly correct. It doesn't.

Liquidsky, being dominated is like New York, It's a state of mind really. I actually think that you would probably make a pretty good switch if you could just learn to relax. But in order for you to do that you have to trust that person. You are a doctor and an ER doc to boot. You guys usually tend to be adrenaline junkies which is fine, you need to be and have to be. You are always in charge and in your job lives often are in immediate danger. So you have learned to never ever let your guard down or ever let someone else take the wheel because if either of those were to happen it could really mean the end of someone's life. I get that.

However, I get where you are coming from. I am a bit of a control freak myself and have always been in charge no matter where or who I was with. It wasn't until I met Doc who is my superior on many levels in the kink world and in the real one that I ever backed down to anyone. But, and I stress this, I did so willingly. We are both switches today and love every minute of it. With that being said he is the only one I would ever be submissive to and visa versa, because of the level of trust we have in each other.

See when you are in positions of power no matter what that position is in your normal like it can be or seem almost impossible to even consider being submissive to someone. While being submissive is not for everyone, I think people who can and are have a much happier life. I say this because I do, Doc does, and everyone I know who takes being a dom or sub seriously does. It is a state of mind for sure. For those of us who can be subs it's a huge relief of stress and anything else you could possibly imagine. Letting someone else take the wheel for a little bit in a way almost allows yourself to reset so when you are kicked back out into reality you are much better prepared to face and handle it. This would be my wish for you.

Mashie

Mashie, that was a great description of what I'm like as well, a switch who thinks it's more satisfying to enjoy both roles instead of just one. The release of being a sub for an evening is just so intense and satisfying that it's hard to describe, as long as you're with someone you really trust and preferably love or care for. But switching around and having consent and enthusiasm to dominate your partner with her being sub so you can flex your Dom desires and play excruciatingly lovely satisfying games with her and "give back" some of what she gave you (me in this case) is also fantastic. I'm also a great fan of the pre- and post-play pillow talk as we tell each other what we liked and are going to do in "retaliation" to the other the next time! Switching is just so satisfying that it's hard to describe well. Thanks.

My point is that discussion of relationships outside of Ds belong in The Parlor or other appropriate area. In the Ds discussion area, Ds is discussed.

I believe my wife does. she is 8yrs younger she kinda sets my bedtime at about 900. she stays up and watches tv. I get diapered due to medical reasons and go to bed. she makes sure I have my diaper and rubber pants on because if not and leak on the bed or on her she gets very upset and then is rough on me. She makes most of the rules and I just follow them. seems like I have been the sub all the time but not bad if you follow the rules there is no rough stuff more of a mind control thing.

No more than some men wish to control women.

I sure dont! Im not submissive but I absolutely love strong, powerful men.

I can be very stubborn and strong willed , but that just means I want and need a strong man that can handle me . I absolutely do not want to control my man . If thats what I wanted I would get a puppy . Does that mean I never get my way ? Lol of course not ! I would never take advantage or manipulate him to get my way though . Its all within reason and I trust his judgement to make the distinction of what I really want and what I really need . And if what I really want is to go make snow angels at 2 am then I will lay on the charm . ?

If what you really want is as innocent as making snow angels, and you've been a good girl, you wouldn't even have to ask at 2am.

Sometimes men can seem plain stupid. I would love being a dom to a man. Men lack certain things women have. Men need to become better and need a dom woman. Who's with me?

I consider myself a true switch. I like being dominant and in charge, but then there are times I want to let that go and submit (and I know my place when I do). I feel I can be both without issues. Of course limits are to be respected in either role for all involved.
