Have you ever had a bad enema?

I would reclassify a Milk and Molasses injection as a truly bad enema from more than 10 years ago.

The worst ones for me is when they get stuck and I can't expell. I try adding more water to get things moving and sometimes even that did not work. I always add some salt to the water so the enema will not mess up my electrolytes too much if it ends up stuck and absorbed by my colon. Last time I retained using a plug and it seemed to open the way for easier expulsions.

My most recent one was ba-a-a-a-ad, and I don't know why. It was a solution I've used before (warm water, about 1.5 liters/quarts, and one capful of Dr. Bronner's peppermint castile soap) and it was at first hard to take, then hard to retain, to the point that I expelled before I'd taken half, and while that was going on, I got really nauseated, salivating like a rabid dog. I managed not to vomit, just barely. (You would, too, if you couldn't rise from the toilet just yet and your wastebasket was wicker, no liner.)

It's very much put me off them for the time being.

It depends on your definition of bad. If by bad you mean not producing the desired results, the answer is no. If by bad you mean extremely painful (Far greater than cramps), yes. I had impacted bowels one time due to pain medications. I was given an M&M enema, I thought my insides were coming out of me and in a hurry. It was not only painful from the rush but the stretching of a very sensitive orifice.

. . . . Thursday, November 25, 2021. The house is empty. I make an attempt to enema solo 1 liter. Bock enema 1 liter. Quickly caught. Then WC rejection with some hard materials. Then I have bad cramps. I want to vomit. I am hot, I am cold. I make an anise tea and go to bed.

. . . . ...The next day, not feeling well, but better than yesterday. Anise tea. I'm eating very little. The day after that, my gas is back to normal. Everything's fine. But I know that even a liter of enema is no longer an option for me. It's true that with my current heart condition, it's one of the contraindications.

. . . . This is my worst enema and probably my last . Yet I loved them so much.

No such thing is there, enemas areant meant to be really nice, they are meant to force you to shit ! althougth lots of us crave them

I'm 61 and have been doing enema's since I was 13. I've only had one really bad one - added bottled lemon juice and maybe I used too much, but the cramping and nausea were terrible and I found it very hard to expel - seemed to take forever. Needless to say I haven't tried that again!

Not all enemas are made in heaven. I’ve had some bad ones in 40+ years — not many, thank goodness.

I was on strong medication on and off for several years, still am on occasion resulting from an accident in my early 20s As a result, my enema bag has been one of my closest companions.

However, even friends can sometimes be a pain. I’ve been stupid and allowed myself to be so tied up that I added extra Castile soap to the enema. It worked, but the cramps were so painful that my husband heard me crying in the bathroom.

I threw up while releasing and thought I was going to die. Occasions when I started sweating when I was releasing, which can be pretty scary. I’ve had a couple of minor accidents in bed, trying to retain the enema as long as possible. We always use a puppy pad and Chux, so I’ve never ruined a mattress.

Thankfully, a “bad enema” is unusual because I know what I’m doing and don’t take chances beyond my comfort zone. The enema can be one of the most pleasurable experiences that a woman can have.

Just one actually. For some reason I decided to use some shampoo to make something bubbly. It was not a good idea, and the nausea stayed with me for more than a day. Its too long ago to remember exactly what shampoo I used, but I remember reading the ingredients list made me wonder what the heck I was thinking! I've never done that again, and follow the simple rule that if I wouldn't drink it, it doesn't belong in an enema either.

I have had some enemas that did go the way I wanted but there is one that sticks out in my mind. A long time ago at a job far far away. We had bar soap in the bathrooms. It was green, kind of like Lava but not grainy. Anyway, there was a box of this soap in the cleaning closet. A few dozen bars of it. I figure that nobody would miss one bar so I grabbed one and took it home. Later on, When I finally had time to take a couple of bags, I used the green soap instead of Ivory. I usually mixed the Ivory fairly strong.

So I have the soapy bag hung up and ran the 2 qts in and was holding for a couple minutes and them WHAM! the cramps start hitting and then getting worse. I sat on the can and tried to expel. The cramps would not let me expel much water at a time, so my gut was still holding the water between small squirts. Then I started getting sweaty and nauseous on top of that. I finally get the water out and filled up a bag of cool clean water. I insert the nozzle and try to take the water but the couldn't get more than a cup in before it squeezed back out. I finally had to give up and let things run it's course.

Yeah. Don't squirt unknown soap up your butt.

Bad enema? YES! The one I missed having last week on my regular day!

My 100% bad enema was the one and only time I tried a Fleet, maybe 22 years ago. IBS had me cramping and nauseated while on a trip, and my husband at the time brought me a Fleet and a laxative. We tried the Fleet first, and I’ve almost never felt so sick.

I don’t recall if I was able to expel anything (I rather think not), but I do remember hours of lying on the hotel bathroom floor, looking up at the underside of the counter, perspiring and wondering if I was going to die. Faintness, dizziness, dry heaving…it went on for what seemed forever while absolutely nothing moved in my colon.

My ex then dosed me with a laxative. Nothing happened that night, or the next morning. Only by late the next day, as we were trying to make our way home, did I experience a horrible, brief burst of overflow diarrhea, in my expensive dry-clean only work trousers, as we waited to catch the train.

As one can imagine, those trousers ended up in the trash.

This experience sealed my thinking that I would never use another Fleet or oral laxative for IBS ever again.

Bad, no. Disappointing, yes, a few. Mostly because I wanted one so badly at the time and it turned out to be too rushed to be pleasurable.

Gotta say, bad enema, yes; It was the first one I ever got, as a four year old. As surely many of us have experienced, it took sexual maturity to start accepting a lifetime of good enemas.
