What is it that draws you to medfet?

I feel the relationship between clinician and patient, whether in a real medical setting or in play has clearly defined power roles.

The clinician is clearly in charge, but respectful of boundaries (unless of course you like being restrained and forced); while the patient is put in that position of vulnerability as they are exposed, poked, examined, and interrogated about their bodies.

From the physical aspect, I love the human body and being the clinician in play gives me the opportunity to appreciate all the small details that are rarely noticed, including:

Truly looking deeply in somebodies eyes

The texture of a tongue

The softness of skin

Listening to the heart pump life throughout the body

Montgomery tubercles (the bumps around the areolas) and the nipples themselves

The belly button

The genitals -we all love playing with them, but how often do we really appreciate the difference in penis shape and size or labia and cervix positions.

The difference in reactions from person to person when being examined.

What is it that draws you to enjoying your role?

Madmaxman8, I hope this ends up in psychology corner. As someone who was sexually assaulted by a family minister (who, it turned out, had assaulted both sexes in the congregation) being a patient enables me to be, once again, completely vulnerable in a safe situation. I will eventually be naked, I will be asked to do things, i.e. lift your arms, things will be done to me but, critically important, things will stop and not go into sex or forced sex. The repetition of the exam thereby builds trust in being vulnerable.

I know that part of what draws me to medical fetish is the power relationship aspect of it. There is something so amazing about giving control of my body over to a "doctor". As some have mentioned before that power goes both ways, the doctor exerts power over the patient, but by allowing it in a play setting, the patient gives the doctor his/her power. I love being cared for and examined and I'm sure that those interested in psychology could probably say a lot about what that says about me and what I'm looking for when it comes to medical fetish and what draws me to it.

I think for me it was the innocents of being a child and having the doctor take control. As a child growing up and having the parent sitting in the waiting area, and your alone in the room with the nurse & doctor both examining you and you are in a submissive situation that you can't leave or run because you will get into trouble. For a child, you don't know any better so you do what the nurse and doctor tells you to do and submit yourself to them as they examine you including your genitals.

As you grow older into your teenage years and been going to the same doctor, you try to fight the fact the nurse and doctor has to examine and see your genitals and your body...but they have away of controlling the situation and again, you feel as if your going to be in trouble with a parent since your mentally condition from childhood.

I think everyone has there own experiences and why they are drawn into medfet. My experiences my be very different then others.

I as I wrote before, my mother was very over-protective and very concerned about my health, growth and development. I'm not sure what was said by her and the doctor, but I know since childhood the doc would always thoroughly examine me including my genitals.

What I think happen is that the doctor was very unethical and perv. Although married and supposedly straight, I think he as truly a child molester. It wasn't uncommon for him to have the parent sit in the waiting area and he would examine the children alone. My friends and my Sister that had the same doctor share the same types of stories. Mother didn't care or bother since she thought this particular doctor can do no wrong.

I think once it came time when the child reached puberty, he spoke with the parent and in some crazy way convinced them about the growth & development of there child. Also I think many parents were very naive and believed people in this type of power. I know many on this board post about boys exams VS. girls exams and that boys have a different type of exam and treated different then girls since my experience was much different then my younger sister.

For instances, once I reached puberty...the doctor had a private talk with my mom. Since then..I had to wear around the house my undies or undies & t-shirt only and was no longer to wear pajamas to bed...only my tighty whitey undies. When my younger sister reached puberty...she was able to wear anything she wanted.

My Mom would inspect me each week by coming into my room, sitting down next to me and removing my blanket and then checking my penis and I would cum! My mom never did this with my sister.

When I reached puberty, my Mom was able to watch the exams and be in the exam room while the doctor examined my genitals and spoke to her and showed her my penis while doing the exam. This never happen to my sister.

When I reached puberty and into my teenage years, I was treated to certain genital experiments because I had an issue with premature ejaculation. This never happen to my sister.

So I guess as I got older, this also become a fetish and I find myself into medfet and this is what truly turns me on as an adult. Go figure...???

Interesting and thought provoking story ... Back on Speculumpages there were a few stories that had a similar theme. I thought them nice to read but always considered them to be the result of fantasies and mental concoctions of the mind ...

Reading about this in this way makes it seem different, especially as the specpage stories were given as being fictitious ... though I did often wonder. Writing about it though does help one find a better way to come to terms and accept how things are now, because of the past ...

I would think that stories with sex involved are indeed fiction and fantasy. On other threads here I've read time and again that there is a big difference between preferences in what constitutes things having to do with medfet, and usually sex as such has little to do with it. It does give feelings of arousal that are sexual in nature, but the things that go on in the mind are still different having more to do with relationships and domination and/or helplessness.

It's a complicated thing to explain to others who don't know themselves ...

I enjoy the patient role and it draws me to it because I am going to have to give up the control of my body all the way to my penis to a stranger for the greater good of me. The embarassmebt of having my penis exposed abd forcefully touched also provides enjoyment for me. I am a little different than many of the forum members. I do not want to be a play doc or a play patient or have play exams. The real ones are enough for me. I enjoy reading what other people write and have experienced.

For a lot of years, I struggled with why I wondered about other peoples exams.It is not that I though anything was wrong with it, I just wondered why.

After being on this forum, both as a reader and a participant, I think I have figured some of the reasons why.

I have come to the conclusion that there were several factors. First of all, I grew up in the 1960's. There was just a lot of accepted male nudity in locker rooms and school showers. Even to go swimming, we had to take nude soap showers before we put on our suit at the public pool.

The second reason was that my mother was a nurse. She firmly believed that an enema was a cure for almost anything. Bowel regularity was almost a religious practice in my life into my teens. I, like so many others,hated enemas as a child but grew to find pleasure in them as a teen.

The third reason was my pediatrician. Long since dead and occupying a place in hell, he spent an inordinate time after I reached puberty, on my genitals and rectum. He didn't do anything perverse or illegal, but it was the exposure and exam process conducted with my mother watching that was traumatic. It took me a long time to understand and be able to share that.

The final reason was a girlfriend I had in high school. Her mom made her go have gynecological exam when we were juniors. On a date that weekend, she detailed the entire process to me. My curiousity has never stopped.

I have thought about this, as it is a thing where I change completely.

As a person I am outgoing confident. I first wear bikini at 12, topless at 15 and nudist beach at 16. I have always walked around changing room naked, and in some of the cities I worked they have communal mixed saunas where you have to nude and I have no problem.

Here most times there no gown so the dr sees what they going to examine from the start and I am ok.

When I go to role play dr everything changes, I am so genuinely shy and embarrassed, i do not know how but the make me feel so vulnerable. I feel really bad if my dr demands that I am examined either in front of other dr or in a group, but at the same time i am really thrilled.

In my day job I like think myself a caring, understanding person and although I see a lot more than people would like always treat with respect. When I do play dr I like to humiliate, either by looking a person up and down as they undress or unbutton their clothes and slipping my hands in their underwear to examine them.

For me, it is that whole power exchange. As a patient, you give yourself over in a way that you do not in any other facet of your life. As a Doc, you're given a level of trust and respect that is incomparable. The intimacy of the touch of an examiner is more exciting than many sexual encounters.

I would agree strongly with madmaxman. There is something very powerful about one person having total control over and taking complete liberty with another person's body.

I would add two things:

1. It is sometimes even more intense and intimate when a 3rd person is observing the exam. When I used to play doctor with a long-ago girlfriend, we often talked about asking her (female) friend to watch us. We were both very excited about the idea but never got up the courage to ask the woman.

2. As to the genitals, I would add that the buttocks and anus are similarly a very special, personal area: the colors, textures, size. And for me the anus is also the most tender part of the body, both in a physical and a psychological sense. It is always the last part of the body that I examine and for the longest period of time.

A bit weird with me. I have a mild-moderate cardiomegaly from asthma which was poorly controlled in the past. As a result I have to have monthly checkups with my regular doctor and 6 monthly checkups with my cardiologist. I rarely get bad asthma attacks now, but if I do I have to go to hospital because I get right heart strain very quickly and a very fast rate that throws up a lot of irregular beats. Provided I'm not fighting for breath, I love to notice my heart responding to treatment, listening to the changing beep on the monitor, or just asking the doctor to have a listen, or what the rate, rhythm and quality of the beat is. I also love thhe pulse oxymeter, watching my oxygen level go up and feeling my heart slow down.

For me, it is the experience of being nude in front of other women during the exam. I enjoy CFNM immensely.

Being totally dependent on the nurses and doctors.

I like both the intimacy and the oddness of the situation. The embarrassment that comes from stripping in front of a doctor and being examined.

I've always been fascinated with everything medical. I used to think of myself more as the doctor, but over time I'm realizing that my true passion is being the patient. I love the intimacy between doctor and patient, and I love being poked, prodded, listened to, palpated, etc. Going in for checkups is my favorite, hehe. From the very first it was the power imbalance, although as I have gained experience other factors came into play. What drew me in was that the power imbalance was, for the most part, simply understood and accepted. The patient did what she was told; the doctor did not have to physically impose his will.

Then, as I gained experience, I realized that even though the patient was submitting to the doctor, she also was displaying in subtle ways her embarrassment or discomfort (or even pleasure) with what was happening to her.

This connection between me and the patient has to be based on trust and pnce that is established, it can be manipulated in numerous ways depending on our needs.

Not only the power exchange but combining it with being naked and essentially helpless with a "it's for your own good attitude"

As is so often the case, what one fears most in youth can become a fetish later in life. As others have said, the fear and embarrassment of being under the control of someone else is an important part.

My greatest fear throughout childhood and adolescence was bending over the receptionist's lap for injections in my bare bottom. Although everyone makes very valid points and very good reasons for being a med fetter, everyone seems to leave out that med fet is just so much fun! It is like being able to be a child again when most of us played doctor and nurse. We did it then because it was fun, and we continue doing it as adults because it is fun! I would say the part about being naked and being examined. Especially when the doctor or nurse is female and she sees me naked and examines my body and looks at and touches my genitals. I also like the feeling of being made vulnerable and haveing someone else in control.

Definitely a formative childhood experience but that was before i realised that I preferred being the doc and examining women patients and had a it of a dom streak.

I haven't done any in-person play exams with anyone, but looking at all of the real-life medical exams that I enjoy, as well as my fantasies and stories, there are a few things that really define medfet for me.

First and foremost, it's the lose of control and power. I enjoy the feeling of going into an exam room and being commanded to undress by a total stranger. And then the doctor or nurse arrives for your exam and tells you what to do, how to position your body, how to breathe, etc. And since you've already agreed to submit yourself to this person, you must obey their every command.

Second, it's the embarrassment and humiliation. Being examined while undressed in front of a total stranger is embarrassing to say the least. And sometimes the positions you are asked to get into border on humiliation, especially if there's another person like a nurse or other chaperone in the room. For me embarrassment is an exciting part of the entire process.

Third, it's the opportunity to break what are considered social norms. For example, as a child you're raised to be modest, and told that it's simply not proper to expose yourself to someone, especially to some stranger. But within the confines of the exam room, you're ordered to do exactly that -- to strip down and expose yourself, often in front of a person of the opposite gender. You wouldn't normally stand completely nude with your legs parted in front of another person while they sit in front of you -- at eye level with your bare genitals. In a normal situation, doing so would be considered socially unacceptable, but there during an exam, it's expected of you. You've violated the social norms that you were raised to obey.

Fourth, the contact with the examiner -- the exam itself. Having a stranger touch your skin, feeling and examining different parts of your body, using instruments on you, probing you and yes, penetrating you. All of that is wonderful.

For me not only is it about nudity, but also the power, embarrassment and humiliation you can have over someone else.I also love the psychology.

Having patients that were happy and carefree about being in group school exams, but now as adults taking them totally out of there comfort zone by replaying the scene again but now they are inhibited and shy.

I am always puzzled as to why as a committed nudist, I feel so shy and vulnerable in front of a physician, but real and play.

There is a submissive part of me that enjoys the power exchange of MedFet play.
