Blindfolds

I usually like an exam to be as realistic as possible. But for variety's sake, I have used a blindfold on occasion.

Has anyone else used blindfolds in their play exams?

I've actually been waiting to incorporate this into a play exam for a while now and I think my patient is ready...she owes me a no-holds barred exam for my birthday and this might just be the perfect time to test the boundaries.

My ex-boyfriend used to use a blindfold on me while examining me, it was really different. It is quite true that if you take away one of the senses it heightens all the others. I loved it!

I thinks its better to be laying on the table and see them looking down upon you, but its kind of like a shot, it don't hurt as bad if you can't see it.

Depending on the role play scene and with my patients consent, I have used blindfolds on many of my patients during their play exams. With the deprivation of sight for anticipation, it elevates their attention to my words (and especially sounds - like hearing the sound of latex gloves, or metal speculum's). Unable to see, my patient is also highly attuned to the sensations of touch(ing), and this tends to invigorate their nerves with arousing responses during the exam. Lastly, I enjoy blindfolding the patient because it psychologically imbues her with a greater element of my "control" in her state of naked "sanctioned submission", and vulnerability during her fantasy gyn exam. The foundational element to this fantasy is about mutual "trust" between the Dr and patient; and blindfolding the patient escalates the eroticism as I can escort her into a wondrous fantasy.

I have been blindfolded during light bondage and I love the feeling. To me it is very erotic not knowing what is going to happen next, and the feeling of helplessness.

Not so much for exams, but I love restraints and blindfolds and especially leather hoods that lock on around the neck, have breathing holes on the top of the head so no light comes in, or just have nostril holes, and covers the entire head! FUN FUN FUN!

Sometimes, I like to have my sub (usually my husband, but not always) show their mettle by being donned with a blindfold, followed by at least TWO locking hoods that cover the entire head. The first hood is usually form fit to the head, and the second outer hood is essentially a black leather bag with a chain that locks around the neck. Quite honestly, while I will do it, I find being restrained and having my head encased by a blindfold and two hoods frightening, even when my husband is the top.

There are so many sections on this site that it seems like it will take forever to explore all of them. This thread hasn't been responded to since last September but it concerns a strong phobia of mine, bordering on irrational so I need to respond.

I have such a fear of being blind that I almost panic thinking about it. When I shower and wash my head I do it as fast as possible just so I can open my eyes ASAP. I've told friends and family to be sure one of my firearms is where I can find it should I ever go blind. My wife and I were in a restaurant last summer and a group of people sat down at the table across from us. One in the group was blind. I began sobbing uncontrollably and had to move to a different table. I was so upset that I couldn't eat. I recently learned that strokes can cause blindness. With high blood pressure, that's the last thing I needed to hear. I dive for the remote if anything comes on TV that mentions blindness. I suppose it's not so bad if you were born blind, you don't know what you are missing and I'm aware that people do adjust but I just can't bear the thought of not being able to see. The image of the Iranian hostages being paraded around with hoods over their heads back when Carter was President is still vividly etched in my head.

So don't even think of getting anywhere near me with any thing that will keep me from seeing. :'(

I do understand those who have a dread of blindness. My mother always said I would go blind if I kept on masturbating.

But seriously, I have an experiment which I conduct in every examination I do. It concerns the patient being blindfold, or at least eyes closed, whilst I touch them with a cotton bud (blunt)(Qtip), a hypo needle (sharp) and a camel hair brush (tactile). The test is for them to report 'what' and 'where' an object touched them.

It's surprising how many cannot differentiate between blunt and tactile but even more surprising, those who cannot, with eyes closed, differentiate between a hypodermic needle and a camel hair brush.!

Why?

I love blind folding more in an enema setting than a med setting. Some of the most exciting enema sessions I have had I have been restrained lightly, blindfolded and even ear plugged. My emate then stimulated be and gave me various solutions through a open top enema bag while I tried to figure out what was going to happen next and how big, hot or cold it might be...very stimulating.

You guys knock yourselves out and enjoy yourselves. As I posted earlier, just don't get anywhere near me with anything that restricts my vision.

Generally I prefer realistic exams, but I guess a blindfold could be something unique to try.

Using blindfold or not..... for me is both options open. Always depented of the "Reson" for the session. I the treatment classic medical related i prefer to where out, opposit is it BDSM related whit heavy pain element I am very glad to be covered from the "wold" to be able to "go in to my self.

Ive been blind folded before it makes the whole exam intesnse you never know wates coming all you can do is sit and lissen and wait. it keeps you on the edge wondering wat is going to happen to you next and were your doctor/nurse is i thik it is a great twist on an exam

As I said in my above post almost two years ago, blindfolds are terrific.

I agree that they add mystery which promotes erotic feelings. Also, not knowing what is coming next reinforces the eroticism of the event.

My biggest thrill with blindfold are the long airplane trips.Once I have the blindfold on I can fantasize at my highest level;.Everyone around me thinks that I am asleep.

My experiences with blindfolds seem to indicate that they can, indeed, heighten the experience for the sub/patient. I find they can usually be incorporated into medical role play fairly easily. Of course, the effect the blindfold has depends on the person wearing it, and their particular psychological response.

I have done exams both with and without blindfolds. Using them adds an element of mystery to be sure, but it deprives the recipient of the visuals of the scene. Its nice to take a few pictures along the way to give to the "patient" afterward so they can see what they had only experienced in their minds eye. I usually put the blindfold on after the more generic parts of the exam are complete.

I find blindfolds are more usefull in a bondage scene that they are in a med scene. Part of the med fun is seeing the patients expression as she sees the next instrument that will be used on her. " Now I know this looks large to you but we will have ti insert it fully to complete this procedure"

When I'm feeling submissive I like being blindfolded. Having to focus on hearing whats going on without being able to see whats about to happen adds to the excitement.

I like to do that too. I use a real, thick black leather blindfold, not one of those flimsy, powder blue "sleep masks" they give out on the long flights.

I have been blindfolded several times during play exams, but for the most part, I don't care for it. I much prefer looking into the eyes of the play Doc and knowing that he is seeing all of my most private parts. I find that much more intimate and sexy.

Not keen; the visual of what's being done to me is too important; if the doctor is examining or preferably treating (!) my nipples I want to watch as the visual is half the story. Or if he's inserting a speculum and he's cranking it open wide I want to meet his eyes as he watches and enjoys my discomfort. So blindfolds are a no-no.

In effect blindfolded in that very tight hood and my hands cuffed to my sides caused the panic to rapidly build.

Now folks that know me well, also realize I do not panic in outrageous situations. I have been involved with aircraft engine failures at altitude, lost control of airplanes during airshows, been shot at by enemy missiles and crashed at an airshow. Never panicked just controlled the situation to conclusion and survived along with passengers & crew.

That said, with the tight hood strapped to my head my hands tied to my sides & when the covers were placed over my eyes I could feel REAL panic setting in, rapid heartbeat, almost uncontrollable breathing . My hands jerked at the harness and cuffs trying to get to the mask to pull it off when I heard a smooth, calming voice, nonchalantly saying slow down, deep breaths, relax, enjoy, feel my hands holding you, relax. I have never really felt such exhilaration by being restrained and denied senses and use of my hands.

Long story short, I would do it again and hope to feel the same panic once more...

Now that is a real, certified nut case.

My Play Dr, Has me strip down to my tighty whiies and then he blindfolds me. When I fuss about it he has been know to take my over his lap and spank me hard! He then leads me to the exam table and restrains my wrists. The being restrained and blindfolded me always extremely hard!! Blindfolds heighten all other senses and make things a LOT more interesting. My boyfriend loves to be blindfolded and it's a regular part of our sex life nowadays. Experimenting with bondage is exciting and deepens commitment as few other things do.

For sleeping in, an eye mask is great, never tried blindfolds in the sexual world, but always a first, like with most things. To be tied and blindfolded, now there is a thought to ponder on for the future 😉

Blindfolds are fairly easy to work into a "realistic" exam play session during the neuro response procedures, and if the role play involves bringing the patient to orgasm for some reason (such as evaluating how her response affects her overall physiology, or if her response capabilities are within a normal range).
