Examined by the same sex

So I am a straight male who has only ever had female sexual partners. However, my medical fetish involves fantasizing about being examined by a male, and I've taken it as far as having another male examine me in "play doc" situations. I become extremely sexually aroused in these situations - I also look forward to my annual real exams with my male doctor for similar reasons. I have no desire to interact sexually with men outside of these physical exam fantasies (and role-plays).

I was wondering if anyone can relate?

Very interesting question. I have straight male patients who also get very aroused during their examinations. I don't think anyone is 100% heterosexual or 100% homosexual. It is just part of the great variety of human sexuality.... just enjoy what you enjoy and don't waste too much time trying to analyse it!

I can somewhat relate to what you're saying pdxman. I've had real exams in the past done by male physicians, but now I almost exclusively see female physicians or nurse practitioners. However, I have thought back about some of those real exams done by a male and some of those were really pretty exciting to me.

For me, I truly think the whole procedure is what excites me -- not that the doctor is male or female. I guess that's just another way of my saying that gender doesn't really matter that much to me, at least in my dreams and fantasies. I could see that having a male doctor examine you might cause additional embarrassment, especially when it comes to the genital or rectal area. And embarrassment is good.

I have zero interest in being examined by the same sex. In fact I hate going to the doctor if it's another male.

It's not insecurity, I just find it awkward and uncomfortable and I'm always happy to be out of the room.

The embarrassment is what makes it fun and exciting like something you shouldn't be doing but are anyway, just like when as a kid you sneak those cookies before dinner and they taste so much better because they are the forbidden fruit!!

I find that really interesting as well. i am a gay male and my interests have only revolved around members of the same sex. my opinion about my medical fetish has been that i want to be stimulated, or stimulate someone else in a setting that is controlled, distant and not involving intercourse or cuddling. i think i have some sexual hang-up in the back of my mind that draws me away from "standard" sexual relations. i have not read into any studies or anything of that nature discussing medical fetishes so this is really just my personal thing.

I have a young couple I see fairly often. Typically the scene involves the husband watching while I give his wife a complete physical....every now and then though we do a fertility appointment which involves each of them watching the other receive a very invasive exam. The husband is completely heterosexual....but he gets extremely aroused with his exam. There is nothing sexual at all involved....but as otheres noted I sense he is very much into submitting to the exam, especially in front of his wife regardless of the gender of the doctor

For anything real, I almost always refuse to see a woman doctor. I don't like them, I think they are rough and bitchy. However, psychologically speaking, and I am not honestly sure if all women do this, or just me, but the minute another women comes into view, I sum her up and figure her out in about 15 seconds. I almost immediately know which one of us is either mentally or physically the stronger of the two, and depending on the situation, or who I am with if she might pose a threat. Trust me, it's very complicated. So for all real medical things, I will only see a man.

Now in a play situation my feelings slightly differ. I have never really played with another woman, but I want to, actually, I think it would be a huge turn on. But however, there would be conditions. One, I would never play with her alone, again, the whole power struggle issue, and two, if I did play with a woman, it would have to be that Doc was instructing her, again, I wouldn't have to worry about which woman was in charge, Doc would be in charge. That is probably the only way I would or could be examined by another woman.

I prefer female. But males do just as good of a job.

Growing up, I had a mix of doctors, and when I was finally on my own, I had decided I prefer male doctors on general principle. I have been known to make exceptions to my rule if the doctor can show that they are exceptional and don't "look down" on me as a patient. All of my current doctors are male, but one of my doctors (my sleep pulmonologist) has several staff, some male, some female.

When I first went to his office, I saw him for my first visit. The Physicians Assistant/Nurse Practicioner (who is female) also sat in on my first visit and they conferred together about my treatment. On return visits, I see the PA/NP instead of him directly. She has proven herself to me because when I go in, she actually LISTENS to my concerns, and collaborates with me on my treatment. I don't mind seeing her and I'm very comfortable with her. She doesn't look down her nose at me and shows a genuine interest in me as a person, not as a patient.

I usually give every doctor I go to a chance to prove that they are decent people. If I'm uncomfortable in their office, I will not return.

Ive been examined by a male several times by a male doctor for offshore medicals. Most are disinterested and just want you inand out of the room. BORING !!!

I'm hetero, have been with a number of women in my life (am married happily now), and never been with a man or wanted to. But the overpowering feelings of excitement + embarrassment + anxiety (all in a positive sense) that come with a doctor's exam outweigh whether or not the doctor is male or female. In other words, although given a choice (in most situations at a clinic, I have no choice) I would prefer a female doctor, I am nonetheless very aroused and turned on in situations with male doctors as well. One recent example would be when I developed a bump between my buttocks (turned out to be a clot, i.e. hemorrhoid) at the edge of my anus. I went to a drop in clinic and was seen by a female doctor (with a female nurse present observing), then to another clinic for a second opinion where a male dr examined me (without a nurse), and finally to a hospital to see a specialist who was also male (with a female nurse assisting the exam). At the time, it was hard to focus on the sexual aspect since I was worried about the clot. But looking back, each exam as I think it through gives me that very particular feeling of excitement, even the one with only the one male doctor examining me. I guess it's more about the fact that I'm exposed in a very private way, not in control, and being touched in a particularly sensitive area -- less about who it is doing the exam. In each case, the exam was almost exactly the same: pants off, lying on my side with knees bent, doctor on a stool behind me with a huge bright light illuminating my backside, hands spreading my cheeks ridiculously wide, then a finger gently palpating the bump, then sliding into my anus, in and around. Suffice to say, my wife and I play doctor from time to time. She is my preferred doctor of course, but if she ever wanted to include another "doctor" (male or female) I would be happy to oblige.

It depends... If I have a real exam, I cannot often decide. I respect my GP's recommendation. But I want a female doctor (= an opposite sex!) for a play exam.

I think this is because of my attraction to the exam ritual and the various aspects of it (the clothing, embarrassment, the dialogue that happens, etc.) rather than attraction to the other person.

In reply to below, it could be the lack of sexual attraction that makes it more clinical and therefore enjoyable in a different way. Or, if the turn on is clinical for you then the gender wouldn't matter. If you are having fun, then don't worry and just keep having fun : ) The embarrassment part you mentioned must be worse if you are not attracted to them anyway!

The local planned parenthood here makes a big deal on the radio about having female gynecologists. Like how many men need a gynecologist ?

On a more serious note the director of the local PP was one of the first people in the area to have a gay marriage license issued and the only way I know about that is because it was in the paper. I was surprised she was not fired for bringing PP's name into that issue. PP is about health care, not politics.

I find it interesting that a male gyno needs a chaperonage but a lesbians gyno does not. Seems like a double standard.

I don't have anything against gay marriage, lesbians, or even PP, but I do think it was very inappropriate for a high level employee to drag their name into her sexual preferences., .

Also, back on the topic. I have had some very nice female doctors and some vary nice male doctors. My guy now is very nice. The woman I saw (my old guy retired) at the old practice before I found the new guy, was awful, as was the male I saw before her. At this point I think it is more personality than gender.

For me, it is all about embarrassment and humiliation, so gender of the examiner is not important. I have only had one real exam by a female and did not find it as embarrassing as most of the exams done by male doctors. I love being in the sterile environment of an exam room seated on an exam table covered with the roll paper wearing only a pair of tighty whities. I get a sick feeling when a cool, unsympathetic middle aged male doctor starts examining me treating the process in an impersonal, dehumanizing manner giving a series of commands as he takes me through the process step by step. All this builds up the tension and anxiety awaiting the final instruction for the exposure of the genitalia. I know he is comparing my equipment to his own and all the other penises he has seen. I can sense the disdain as he sees what I have in my pants. Then having to stand there with my penis in full view as he examines the testicles and gives the humiliating instructions to cough for the hernia exam. At the best, the cough command will be given at least twice on each side. Then it's almost the most humiliating when he tells me I can pull the briefs back up as if to say "see, I've had my fun now."

I think either male or female, they both can offer something different. For me, female doctors are softer. Their hands feel gentler on me then a m as ns would. But I like feeling controlled by a man. Depends on my mood I guess

I find this really interesting. I'm a straight female and prefer to be examined by a male Doctor in real life. However I really enjoy looking at pictures of other women in stirrups and with speculums inserted etc. I role play usually as the patient , but have been the doctor on numerous occasions. I have done some role play when I have examined the same sex.I'm quite sure in real life I would love to watch a female being examined as although I'm straight I think it would turn me on, and it would also be interesting watching it from the Doctors end of the exam bed.

I have only my play exams done by men and get very aroused. That being said, I have only had intercourse with women abs have no plans to have sex with a male. I have always thought I was bisexual because of it. But now I wonder if I am straight but enjoy exams from male doctors.

With the ability to research online who various types of physicians are in my medical plan, where their locations are, & ultimately via a google image search what they look like, I typically go for women, such as my dentist, dermatologist & gastroenterologist. My orthopedist was a male. Although I do not yet use a primary care physician, I will eventually get one with a female preference. That said, I enjoyed the experiences of one of my company's plant physicians spontaneously manipulating my briefs while I was laying on my back to gain access to feel my balls, particularly the first time he checked for testicle cancer without mentioning he would beforehand. I don't get aroused as I'm not attracted to men, while I have been comfortable with my experiences with male doctors. I think the fondness people experience with their exams is not really about being gay or straight, but about experiences & resulting sensations of their own bodies, sometimes as it occurs during various stages of their lives. I think the element of trust in the physician adds a feeling of "Safe" &/or "comfort" to the experience, and therefore contributes to yielding permission to allow oneself to feel certain ways about it and have that be okay, regardless of sexual orientation. As awkward as it is also, I must admit I did like the years when I had a male physician who had me lie down for the exam, pulled down my undies and felt my balls because I trusted him. We're both straight males, so there was no sexual tension there.Being examined when I'm standing up doesn't have any effect on me. I definitely do not enjoy prostate/rectal exams
