First Semen Ejaculation - sudden or gradual?

It seems odd, doesn't it, that ejaculation of semen would commence so suddenly without any prior indication? One day you're a boy just happily jacking off. The next day you're suddenly a man.

That being the case, and with girls generally beginning to ovulate at a much earlier age than when boys start to ejaculate, girls and boys nowadays should be taught to use a condom, even if one or the other hasn't yet reached sexual maturity. I don't know if our sex education system is doing that and fully explaining the reason why. There are probably many cases where kids are engaging in unprotected intercourse, thinking they are being safe because one or the other hasn't reached that point yet, not realizing it can happen suddenly at any time.
