I think I've tried EVERY available "flavor" of Dr. Bronner's fine castile [enema!] soaps. Here are my personal "reviews":
LAVENDER: Relatively mild and especially nice if you like that fragrence; but not so much if you don't.
PEPPERMINT: Most widely available; Can tingle or even burn if you use a lot; Pepperrmint is supposed to reduce gas.
ALMOND: Relatively mild and especially nice if you like that fragrence (which I DO).
EUCALYPTUS: Medicinal odor, which is fine if you like that odor (which I do NOT); Nice for a punishiment enema for people who detest that smell!
TEA TREE: Turpentine odor (that's where turpentine comes from!); A bit harsh and perhaps a bit cathartic, as in the old-time use of turpentine in enemas; Candidate for punishment enemas.
ALOE VERA: Relatively soooting, like the plant it comes from.
UNSCENTED: Presumably the midlest (called "baby mild"); Does have it's "own" fragrence; The fragrence of "hospital" enema packets; Nice for simulating "a hospital enema" (other than Ivory Soap).
When I (frequently) re-stock from my local health food store(s), I always wonder to myself: do thse people know what "all of us" really use this for?" π
