Are you glad you were spanked as a kid?

For those of you who grew up with spankings, how do you feel about it now? Are you glad your parents spanked you growing up? Or would you rather have had an un-spanked childhood instead?

Still undecided. I tend to think they can be good when the child knows why it's getting spanked and when it actually did something wrong, not just because the parent got angry unreasonably. For myself, I never understood why I got spanked while it was happening, the reason seemed to be that something I did made the parent angry but I was never hurting anyone, we just had a disagreement about what I should be doing.

I might have a bit of a spanking fetish but I have yet to explore it with another person. A bit might be an understatement, I relish videos where a young woman is getting a sound spanking that makes her ass visible shake with every impact. If she's a little plump, all the better. I tried spanking myself but either it does nothing or hurts too much. I don't think my spanking fetish is related to childhood spanking though. Usually my real spankings turned into a fight. In a fetish spanking, I wish to be submissive and obediently receive it. Same as I want to do to a woman.
