Max:
i'm sorry you had to sell your stuff for fear of being discovered (?).
this reminds me of what happened to the great photographer, Edward Weston. He really invented the concept of form and shot all kinds of things, but mostly household appliances and nudes of his wife. There was nothing pornographic about them. he used a large format camera and was able to get incredible three dimensional images. He shot her on sand dunes and other sort of interesting places. But it was his eye that made them great.
He was a friend of Ansel Adams, and they even lived near one another.
I remember reading that he would sell a print, but then had to spend hours touching out any traces of pubic hair.
Somebody also mentioned here that they had difficulty with the Canadian post office censoring their mail with the collector.
In reading through this, I'm going to start a new topic about censorship, shame, and like. I keep coming across that subject and have struggled with it myself. I think it's really unfortunate that governments around the world, including ours in the US, somehow think it's appropriate for them to restrict what we can watch. It seems to be worse in the UK and Canada but I just think you can't even get that sort of thing in the Middle East without being beheaded or something. Spain, Italy, and France seem more accepting.
