Does an enema ever “Reset” you emotionally?

I certainly think it does. After a long week or just a time of feeling somewhat out of it, a coffee enema seems to make things all right again.

I’m more ready to deal with whatever comes my way.

Yes I believe it does, I feel both physically and emotionally better as if a huge weight has been lifted off me…

I usually take them while in a hot bath, it’s very relaxing after a hard long days work, I always sleep better after too 😃

I agree that an enema not only cleans out your lower digestive tract but also does a wonderful job emotionally. This is one of the reasons that I used to love taking an enema at that time of the month. It cleaned me out, the internal warmth was comforting, and it got rid of the blahs!

You've described that beautifully, and there's nothing to add.

There's nothing that I do that resets me and makes me feel calm and clear as a large enema.

I know that there's been lots written in some journals about the sort of hormones that are in the colon and that they are released when you get an enema. I know oxytocin,serotonin, and other beneficial substances are released according to some research. (I can't remember where but I've read it multiple times.)

I'm not very good at describing this sort of thing, but I can tell you that it's a bit like I used to feel when I had worked out to the point of sweating everywhere and sort of letting go. it's similar, but the enema is better, at least for me.

I'm glad that all of you are talking about this.

Oh, By the way, I have some neighbors that told me the exact same thing about large enemas and it really shocked me. They were in their early 40s and enthusiastically talking about large enemas. I don't think they're going to put that on Facebook.

PS: Nobody replied to my mention of Mark Twain and Voltaire being enema fans. They both mentioned them as positives. Iago in Otello wasn't so positive. His word was "Clystra pipe" as an insult

They reset my sub very nicely. I can tell when he is getting too stuck in his own head. A nice relaxing and cuddly enema will bring him out of that.

I enjoy watching his eyes roll back in his head as the warmth and water flow. I don't get to see that reaction as much as I used to. Though "things are starting to rise" more than they used to. So maybe we'll get to try adding in sex and enemas in the future. Wish us luck.

Not to mention an enema makes him sleep very well. So the added bonus is greatly appreciated.

The feeling I have taking an enema for my physical needs, it’s also giving my mind a cleanse. The warmth, relaxation and a satisfying release definitely improves my mood.

literally cathartic isn't it! enemas can be the ultimate expression of catharsis emotionally and physically. i love seeing that wave of catharsis wash over my patient's face as and after she expels.

I would say absolutely that an enema is definitely a "Reset" even though I almost never need an enema for constipation. So my reset is a "recreational reset" if there is such a thing. I admit though, that I do enjoy the "cleaned out" feeling after an enema. I was raised with 2 enemas per week (Wed & Sat) as both my mom and grandmother thought enemas were the prevent all/cure all for what ails you including a bad attitude or being grumpy. I grew to like enemas early on and would sneak them quite often while growing up. Denise

An enema definitely can be a good reset as well as a good attitude adjustment. (some of you know how that works)

After a few large enemas I feel rejuvenated internally and emotionally satiated. Also along with a good orgasm I will drift off into some great sleep. Anyone know that feeling also?
