Many times I have seen films on the Internet showing married couples who decided to have a vasectomy. The men tried to hide their fears of the procedure. However, their wives were overjoyed and did not hide it at all. I understand that they may have been pleased that the problem of family planning would be radically solved. The joy of these women, however, was a little inappropriate. They seemed to enjoy the fact that the man would be mutilated. If, in a similar situation, a man laughed at the fact that his wife was going to have surgery, everyone would condemn him.
