Childhood enemas sitting the toilet

No, ive never taken or given enema whilst sat on the toilet, purely used for expelling into.

I recall the sitting on toilet position being mentioned in the instructions on the box for a douche/enema bag. This does not seem comfortable, but I don't think I've ever tried.

I was never given enemas on the toilet, but like Compacto, I was given enemas while on the bathroom floor. The bag was hung from the medicine cabinet door. It was 5' - 5" from the floor (I measured when I was older). My mom's enemas always hurt from the high pressure and flow from the bag being hung too high. She did not mean to hurt me, she used the same bag hung in the same place for her enemas, but the difference in the capacity of an adult rectum and colon makes a BIG difference in the resulting cramping and pain. As I got older and would sneak enemas on my own I would hang the bag from different heights. As an adult, hanging the bag high is not a problem, but as a child it felt like a fire hose in my rectum!
