Afraid to do an IN PERSON PLAY exam

You're not alone and your concerns are perfectly normal. Safety is a concern on both sides, and in my experience, it's important that both the Dr and Patient are able to first establish a comfortable rapport and chemistry. Lots of good points already shared, and I'll add what has worked for me as a play Dr.

After taking some time to chat online, a public meet has been the next step. I avoid dinners or venues where an easy exit can't be made, and keep it simple, 20-30min. A coffee shop or shopping area with tables outside, etc. Some shopping centers offer open areas were you can walk and talk which offer more privacy for topics of kink. Walks typically occurred during a 2nd or 3rd meet, and continue for as many times as you need to build the level of comfort you're looking for. I've met some play patients for short walks throughout neutral neighborhoods, etc.

I tell each of my play patients that the exam is about their experience, not the Dr. Maybe share a brief outline on paper of what you're looking for so your thoughts don't get lost in moments of nervousness, other topics of discussion, or trying to express an embarrassing topic. If the play Dr. doesn't respect the boundaries you've set, or replies with harsh tones about how you want the exam to proceed from start to finish, move on.
