"Oh, great," thought Claire, "tell the world." She sat, feeling self conscious, while the nurse knocked on the door marked "Doctor" and disappeared into the room beyond. A minute later, she reappeared "He'll just be a few minutes,"she consulted her notes "Now then. Katie Price? Would you like to come through, love?"

Claire envied Katie Price. It was coming to something she thought when you envied someone going for a smear test. She felt more self conscious than ever now, knowing that her secret had been revealed. She sensed the other girls wondering what was wrong with her, knowing that she was "seeing" and being "seen" by the doctor and that HE would be ready in a few minutes.
