At the first of the New Year, John had told Katie that they needed to cut back on expenses for a couple of months to catch up due to Christmas and unexpected car repairs. He stipulated that only necessary expenses in January and February such as food, house payment, utilities, etc be made for only the next two months and then they could go back to regular spending habits. He stipulated that extras like eating out at higher end restaurants, clothing, entertainment, travel, etc should not be made for just two months.

Katie agreed and that she would do what she could to minimize the cost of groceries while still feeding the family good food and plenty of it. She would also be looking for other ways for her and the children to rein in other expenses as well. John was very pleased with Katie’s getting on board with the cutting of expenses and reminded her that it would only be for two months and then they would be caught up.

At the end of January, John noticed little if any reduction in the January MasterCard statement and noted that several purchases had been made at Amazon and department stores. He waited until their children had gone for an overnight visit at the grandparents, before confronting Katie about the nature of the expenses. Katie admitted that the extra expenses were for the most part clothing for her and that she had taken advantage of a number of really great January sales.

John was not pleased and told Katie that he thought he had been very clear about overspending particularly about clothing, stating that Katie already had a lot of clothing. Katie got a little smart mouthed stating that he had spent money at the golf course the previous summer. John said that was true but that was not relevant to their current finances.

Katie replied, so what are we going to do about it? You going to take me over your knee like I was a spoiled child and spank me knowing that John was as gentle and understanding as any husband could be. John again raised the hair brush and in a much more rapid succession applied 25 more hard strokes and stopped to inspect Katie’s now bright red bottom telling her he thought that would be enough to help her remember her agreement not to over spend. He then had her stand up and with quite a struggle pulled down her tight girdle and removed her bra. He held her on his lap kissing her gently and telling her how much he loved her.

To say Katie was as aroused as much as John would be an understatement and they soon were under the covers making passionate love. The matter of overspending was never brought up again.
