Finding Their Dream Girl

Danny and David were identical twins in every respect making it difficult for those that were not close friends to tell them apart. They had been home schooled by their mother and father who were both college educated, the mother being a business major with a minor in accounting and the father a mechanical engineer with a masters in business administration. The family lived on a small farm that their parents had purchased when the two boys were little and it provided part of the family food and some supplemental income. The twins were expected to help out with the farm work and it helped them develop a good work ethic.

The boys were also were kept abreast of the small farm income, expenses, and were helpful with ideas of how to increase the profitability of the small farm. As they got into their teens, their mom and dad for the most part turned the operation and management of their small farm over to the twins thinking it would be good training for them when they graduated from college and started their own careers. It also freed the parents up to concentrate on their own careers. Their father was the manager of a small manufacturing plant that made aircraft parts and the mother ran her own business that provided accounting services for small companies.

Both Danny and David majored in computer science with minors in business administration. Upon graduation, the decided on a business start up of their own that would provide small business owners unique software tailored to their client’s operations that would handle employee records, payroll, sales, marketing, advertising, etc according to each business needs.

The software development took quite a bit of time and was developed while the twins still lived at home. Their first customer was a college friend who wanted to start his own business and had asked for their help. Both Danny and David agreed that they would both put their social life on hold for awhile during their business startup which turned to be remarkedley successful due to referrals from satisfied customers for the most part. After a short time, they decided to move out of their parent’s house and had a house of their own design built especially meet their needs both as a business and personal living space. The house was divided with two bedrooms and a bathroom located on each end plus a living area. The mixture was cooked over a sterno stove. It was pleasure to share this meal with the sweetest girl I have ever known.”

The restaurant tab was paid along with a handsome tip and as they left, Donna suggested that they go back to her apartment and watch one of her favorite romantic movies.

When they arrived, Darla was still out on a late date. She had shared with Donna earlier that day, that her their date would be a “ breaking up date” as her brief relationship with her date had taken a turn for the worse. Danny said, “Now I want you to take your time to think about it before you give me an answer as you would be stuck with me the rest of your life if you say yes” Donna smiled and said, “Well let me think…..hmm….well……ah. I thought about it very carefully and the answer is YES! YES! YES!! I want to be stuck with you the rest of my life!!!” They both stood up and wrapped their arms around each other kissing deeply and Danny swung her around her feet leaving the ground as he twirled her around. Donna told Danny how she could not possibly think of anyone she would rather spend the rest of her life with. Danny slipped the ring on her finger and holding her close, told her that he would always love and take care of her, protecting her, and supporting her in all things she might do.

Post Script
