Arielle gets an offer, with a catch……

Part 1

Arielle Minkos is having a good year. After finishing Grad school and earning her Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering in May, she was immediately offered a full time position with the company she had been interning for during the past two summers. She is very smart and motivated, which impressed her superiors and coworkers. Arielle was offered a position with great starting pay and excellent benefits, with regular salary increases as she meets certain milestones. Her immediate supervisor is very impressed with her performance so far. It is mid September now, and with about four months on the job, she has already earned a salary increase.

Arielle also has another passion. Dancing, in particular a few of the Latin dance disciplines. She has been attending dance classes ever since she was old enough to walk. Her mother loved dancing, and Arielle followed suit. Her mother enrolled her at the same dance school she attended, and Arielle quickly became the best student in her class. By the time she was a teenager, she could outdance her own Mom, who was no slouch on the dance floor, which made her mother proud.

The dance school has started a new season of competition, now that autumn has arrived. Up until now, Arielle has been training with the amateur group. Although the amateur group doesn’t compete, they have an annual recital in the spring, to showcase what they have learned over the past several months. They also can travel to the semi professional competitions, to watch and cheer on their fellow dance studio peers. Arielle goes to her classes in the evenings, Tuesdays and Thursdays, an hour each night, with a Saturday morning session as well, which is a two hour session. There are a few openings for the semi professional competition team. Unbeknownst to Arielle, her instructors have taken notice of just how well she is performing.

Arielle arrives at her Tuesday night class. She is a very busy young woman. Tuesday and Thursday nights, and Saturday mornings are dance class, Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays she usually hits the gym for some weightlifting, cardio and yoga. She takes Fridays off from the gym and dancing. She needs at least one day of rest! Between her full time job, dance classes and the gym, she doesn’t have much time for a social life. Luckily for her, her friends are also in her dance classes and go to the gym, too. As far as dating, a few months ago she started dating a guy in her dance class, and they recently made it official as boyfriend and girlfriend. His name is Adam, and they have been training as a dance couple for over a year.

Arielle sees Adam, and she loves how he looks in his shiny black spandex leggings and black tank top. He is 27 years old, stands 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds, all lean muscle, with flat, washboard abs. He has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He notices Arielle, he equally admires her in her shiny light gray spandex booty style short shorts, and shiny black spandex racerback tank top. The tank top is cropped, showing about three inches of her flat, tight abdomen. He especially loves the glossy beige showgirl pantyhose she is wearing, the combination of her booty shorts and glossy nylon clad legs really have his attention, her high heels, made specifically for dancing with ankle straps and a reinforced heel, really accentuates her hard, tight ass and legs. She has the lean, muscular, well defined legs and firm, round, tight as a drum, heart shaped ass of a woman that has been dancing for almost 20 years. Her firm, curvy hips, pancake flat, firm abdomen, small, trim waist, and well toned upper body, with firm, perky 34C breasts, complete her smoking hot body. She has a very pretty face to match. Her olive toned skin, dark brown eyes, and long, thick, shiny black hair a result of her Greek ancestry. She stands 5 feet 7 inches tall sans high heels, and weighs 115 pounds.

Adam walks up to Arielle, hugs and kisses her, and says “Diane want to see us. I think we might finally be offered spots on the semi pro team!” Arielle smiles and says “I hope you are right. We have worked our asses off for this. Let’s go see her now.”

Diane, the lead instructor, sees Adam and Arielle walking towards her. “Damn, that is one smoking hot, attractive couple right there” she thinks to herself. She motions them into her office. After they come into the office, Diane closes the door. She can’t wait to tell them the good news any longer. Her two best dancers in the amateur ranks, and best couples dance team by far, they have earned what she is about to tell them.

“Adam and Arielle, I have great news. We have selected the two of you to be a part of our semi professional team, specifically in the couples category. Do you accept?” Adam and Arielle look at each other for a few seconds, flash big smiles at each other, and say “Hell yes!” Diane says “Congratulations you two, you have earned it. Let’s get into specifics. We know that the two of you, like everyone here, including us instructors, have day jobs. The way these competitions are structured take this into consideration. The competitions are on weekends, usually one weekend every five or six weeks or so. There is some travel, most of which is within driving distance. The further away competitions, which are about a four or five hour drive, will require staying overnight on a Saturday night. If we make the semifinals, and finals too, for that matter, it would require us to fly down to Miami for a three day weekend, staying Friday and Saturday nights. Our practice schedule for these competitions stays the same as our usual schedule, except the weekend before we would also have a practice session on Sunday in addition to Saturday. If we make the semi’s and finals we would likely practice on Mondays and Wednesdays the two weeks leading up to the competition, in addition to Saturdays and Sundays. We realize with a full time job, making every practice, while desired, isn’t always possible. But, it is important to be able to commit to making every practice as you possibly can, and it is pretty much mandatory to make the actual competitions. The dates for the competitions are known well in advance, in fact I have the calendar for the upcoming season now. You should only need to use a few vacation days for the semi’s and finals, if we make it that far. My question for you two is, can you commit to this? If not, let me know now, so we can select someone else. You can always try again next year.”

Arielle and Adam talk for a moment, and they decide that yes, they can commit. Diane says “Okay, excellent! Now one more thing. Since this is a semi professional competitive dance team, we are covered under a liability insurance policy, in case of any serious injuries suffered while training or competing. Any medical costs not covered by your own health insurance would be covered by this policy, kind of like how an Aflac policy works. It is a benefit we offer to our team, for your peace of mind. Injuries sometimes do happen, and they can be serious. Torn ACL’s, sprained ankles and the like do happen. One catch of this policy is you need to have your doctor sign a form that states you are medically cleared to participate in semi professional dance competitions. Here are the forms you need to bring to your doctor.”

Diane hands the forms to Arielle and Adam. It is a two page form. The first page describes the activities and the physical requirements involved in training and competing for the dance competitions, the second page is a generic form that states the participant is medically cleared and fit for the activities. Arielle says “Um, do I need a physical for this?” Diane replies “Well, I suppose if it has been a while since your last physical, maybe. Since I also compete, I need the form signed as well, and since I had a physical in March, my doctor just signed it last week. Speaking of which, I do need those forms signed and returned to me before our first competition, which is next month. Three weeks from now, to be exact. Without the form, you won’t be able to compete, which will hit you and the team points wise in the season standings, which determines whether we make it to the semi finals next spring. So please get these back to me as soon as possible.”

Adam and Arielle thank Diane and promise to get the forms back before the competition. Diane says “Okay then, let’s go start class, and learn our new routine for the upcoming competition!”

Arielle is a little worried. She hasn’t had a physical in almost three and a half years, when she had just turned 20, April of 2020 to be exact. There is no way her doctor will sign this form without first giving her a physical exam. As it is, she has gotten a few reminders in the mail saying she was overdue for a physical. And at her last physical, her doctor told her that when she turns 21, she will be due for her first Pap test and pelvic exam. Which is the reason why she has not scheduled a physical since. She has zero desire to have a Pap test or a pelvic exam. Now, she will definitely need to schedule a physical, and her doctor likely will insist on a Pap and pelvic. If she refuses, he most likely won’t sign her form. She fears her time of escaping the indignity and discomfort of a Pap test and pelvic exam is over……

To be continued…….
