It was Monday morning about 9:00 a.m. Shirley’s telephone rang and she and she answered it. Shirley, this is Nurse Maxine at Doc’s office. He ask me to call you and remind you that your birth control shots expire in two weeks. Do you want to come in and get two more before they expire. Yes said Shirley. Can I just come in today and get the shots. Yes said Maxine. I don’t need an appointment do I, No said Maxine. OK I will be in after lunch.

About 2:00 Shirley showed up at Dan’s office and told the receptionist she was there for her birth control shots. She receptionist told her to have a seat and a nurse would call her soon. Shirley was only seated about a minute when Maxine opened the door and said Shirley we are ready for you. Shirley got up and followed her down the hall and into an exam room. Maxine closed the door and said I just need to confirm that you are here for your two birth control shots. Yes said Shirley. I have to remind you that these two shots go in your butt and they are painful. Knowing that do you still want the shots. Yes said Shirley. OK said Maxine. I will go prepare them. Doc gave specific orders for you to be nude for the shots and laying on your stomach on the exam table. I don’t know why he said that but those are his orders. Ok said Shirley. You will need to undress while I am her said Maxine so I can get you on the table with the leg extension in place. After 2 minutes Dan pulled the needle out of Shirley’s cheek and Maxine put a bandaid on. Dan said Maxine let’s switch sides of the table. When Dan got on the other side of the table he cleaned a spot on Shirley’s butt and jabbed the needle in. He started

injecting the medicine and Shirley started crying again. Shirley cried this hurts so bad. Dan said I know and I am sorry but it will be over in 2 minutes. Two minutes when by and Dan pulled the needle out of Shirley’s butt and Maxine put a bandaid on her. Dan said the manufacturer of the medicine has just issued new instructions for administering these injections. You have to be observed for 15 minutes following the injections to be sure you don’t have a reaction. You need to lay on the table and I will be back in 5 minutes to check on you. Dan and Maxine left the room and Shirley just laid on the table nude.

After 5 minutes Dan walked back in the exam room and he ask Shirley if she was OK. She said yes I am fine but what is it with me being nude for these shots. It was empty so Maxine told Shirley to have a seat and closed the door. Shirley wondered what is going on. In a couple of minutes Dan came in and closed the door. We do the sessions one week before their marriage so they will be prepared for marriage but not so long before marriage that they will want to have sex before they marry. Alice said why do you call them sessions and not classes. Ok Alice said Shirley. You are my best friend and I never met to keep secrets from you. But when I tell you the details you can see why I don’t publish the existence of or the content of my sessions.

I started a couple of years ago when a former student called me and said she was getting married, she loved her husband to be, but she was afraid to have sex. She said neither one of them knew anything about sex, that they were both virgins, and they need help.
