Amelie urinated in the cup and passed it to her husband who was booking the pathology to come pick up the samples.

“Alright sweetie, I know you’re going to absolutely hate this part but it’s essential to establish if you have a UTI or some other infection causing the pain. You can lay down, you can sit up whatever feels most comfortable and I promise this is the last time I’m going to put on a pair of gloves tonight” Alex Brown explained.

He snapped on his pair of gloves and removed some vials and a large butterfly needle from the doctors kit. “Do you want some happy gas to calm you down or you going to be a good girl for daddy?”

Amelie closed her eyes and nodded as he attached an elastic tourniquet to her arm. “Good girl, just relax for me. Breathing nice and slow” he whispered. She winced at the pain of the needle going in and he softly shooshed her “Daddy’s got you baby, Daddy’s got you, we’re all done” he stated as he removed the last glass vial. He then laid her on her side pulled his gloves off and covered her in her blanket. “There we go baby”

He put all his equipment away put the blood and urine in the fridge for pathology to collect and jumped into bed next to her running her tummy gently “Go to sleep princess, maybe tomorrow Daddy can do some more to you”
