Now I put the backrest back to it’s 45° angle and handed the hand mirror again to Manon. Then I sat again down between the legs of Manon and put on a fresh pair of gloves. After that I asked Cloé if she knew what a speculum looks like. She had no idea and said I do not know what it is. Therefore, I told her I will show her now the speculum I will use on Manon. She came closer to me and I opened the drawer with the specula. As soon as she saw the specula her chin dropped almost hitting the floor. Her eyeballs became very big and she was unable to move or say something. I took a middle-sized Pederson speculum and hold it in front of her. She stared at it until I said take it in your hand. She slowly took one hand off her pubic area moving the other right in the middle, sort of making sure that I won’t slide this horrible tool into her vagina. When she took the speculum, she said it is so huge, that will never enter the vagina of a women. I said, can you imaging a baby coming out there? She said ok but Manon is not pregnant to what Manon said, don’t worry it does not hurt and slides in easily. Cloé gave it back to me and stepped back.

I turned around and announced to Manon that I will touch her to put the speculum in place. She arranged the mirror to see the entrance of her vagina. I asked her to take a deep breath and fully relax. She took 2 deep breaths and I slit the speculum in. This time I hadn’t used any lubricant since Manon was so wet that there really was no need for any lubricant.

I found directly her cervix with the speculum . I than asked her to take another deep breath so I can open it without hurting her. I pushed on the lever and fixed it with the thumbscrew. I reoriented the light and left Manon look through the speculum to see her cervix. Cloé had seen the whole scene but still was like petrified.

I took a stick with a cotton tip and showed to Manon her cervical os. Cloé slightly bent, over still making sure with her hands that nothing can get closed to her vagina. I explained to both of them that the menstrual blood is coming out there since it is the entrance to the uterus. I also pointed to them that this is the limit of play and that they never should stick anything in there since form there on, the risk of a bad infection is very high.

Then I explained to them how a pap-smear is taken. As I had explained before I could not take one again so I took with the cotton tip a little bit of the liquid in the pool at the end of the speculum.

At that point I said the speculum exam is over and if they have no questions I will take it out now. As there were no questions I unscrewed completely the thumbscrew and took the speculum out.

Both watched that the vagina of Manon stayed slightly open which pushed Cloé to the question if the vagina now stays open forever.

I explained that sometimes the vagina closes directly after the speculum is taken out and sometimes it takes a little time. The state of arousal influences this delay quite a bit.

I then asked Manon how it had felt. She said it was exactly the same feeling then when she is at her real gynaecologist.
