Testimonial 7: Stressed Daughter

Sarah’s intro:

Today I’d like you to read the story of an exceptional mom. She has a special which makes her an outstanding client. She does not actually have a problem with how her daughter behaves. It is something else this time.

The story of the stressed mom

My daughter, Maddie, has always been a nervous type. She was a good and very hard-working student. She got into a really good college. However, she was always stressed about something. She cried a lot at home about her grades. I could see her suffering.

One day she confessed to me that she was unhappy. The last time she remembered being happy was years ago. When I heard this, I knew that I needed someone’s help.

Using Sarah’s advice, I suggested Maddie do ‘baby days.’ This meant that Maddie could stay at home and just do nothing. Since she was an excellent student, I got permission quickly from her senior high school teachers.

During these days, Maddie could sleep next to me in my bed. When she woke up with night terrors, I cuddled her. This helped a little, but it wasn’t enough.

During one of her baby days, she fell ill. She had a fever, so I took her clothes off and bathed her in cold water. I bought her a cool onesie that I could get her into easily.

Then she got even worse the next day. I decided to prolong the baby days. I gave her a suppository when she started throwing up. Putting that thing up her butt was a weird experience. To my surprise, she did not fight it. The next day she woke up healthy and happy. Then she thanked me for taking care of her.

Going with Sarah’s advice, I decided to lean into this. I told her we can make any day a baby day if she asked for it. She did it quite often. She even stopped using words at one point and just made baby sounds. If she looked sick, I just took her temperature rectally. This was easier and quicker, and she did not mind it. She even got a bit playful, wiggling her bum at me. But most times, she just laid there and let me insert the thermometer in her behind.

I found that she did not even want to use the toilet during the baby days. I got some adult nappies she didn’t protest. She started using the nappies for both number 1 and number 2. I did not mind changing her because, for once, she looked happy.

After a good 2 months, Maddie told me she is happy again and how much she loves me. She wanted to go back to college. I helped her to overcome her anxiety. However, we’re still doing the baby days once a while.

Sarah’s closing remarks

This mom allowed her daughter to rediscover her happiness. Mom was with her whenever she is happy or not.
