As I waited in the exam room only in a paper gown and socks there was a knock at the door. In walked the male nurse and the doctor also in full PPE gear and face mask. He said hi and welcome back, Then asked the regular exam questions while the nurse took notes on my chart. He said to take off the gown which I did and was naked for the rest of the exam. He read the chart and then checked my heart and lungs with his stethoscope and them told me lay down on the exam table, He felt my abdomen and stomach asked the usual questions the told me to stand up while he put on a new pair of gloves and reached for the tube of the KY lube. I know i always get a prostate exam during my physical so I do an enema before i go for my appointment. He told me to bend over the exam table, of course i was naked already so not much to prepare for. I felt him spread me open he said to relax and his finger went all the way in my rectum.When he removed it he said to turn abound he put on a new pair of gloves and check my testicles, hernia and penis including the glands at the head. All the while the nurse was wring notes on my charts.

When all was done he said i can get dressed that everything looked good and suggested a 6 month appointment.

I guess this will be the new norm for physical exams until we get a handle on this virus.
