Tyler was enjoying the relief that he had long needed. Despite already draining out nearly 2000 mL before being connected to the bag, the bag next to his bed continued to fill with his golden yellow urine. Hearing a knock on the door, Tyler quickly covered up and Adam sat back down. Dr. Robertson entered the room.

“Well it looks like you got some relief. It is a good sign that we were able to get a catheter inserted without any issues. Now that your pain is subsiding, I’d like to do some further examination before deciding how to proceed,” explained the doctor.

He continued, “Justin had your urine sample sent to the lab, so we should get those results soon. I am going to do a further examination myself, and then because of the pain you complained about when you were admitted, I am going to have an ultrasound of your bladder and scrotum done. I am also going to request blood work to be safe.”

Tyler listened intently and became a little fearful that he might have a serious problem with all of the testing the doctor was requesting.

Noticing the fear on Tyler’s face, the doctor paused. Attempting to reassure the young man, Dr. Robertson added “If all of the tests come back fine, then we should be able to get you out of here tonight.”

The jock was very relieved to hear this. Without waiting for the doctor’s command, Tyler pulled down his blanket and pulled up his gown exposing himself to the doctor and Adam once again.

Adam could tell that Tyler was still a little uneasy. He put his hand on his buddy’s shoulder and spoke softly, “It’s going to be fine. Just a few more tests and then we’ll get you home. And I’ll be right here the whole time.”
