It has been a long time since Philip had been to the doctor but he had to go because he was not feeling well. after going into the doctor's office he sat with his mom letting him know that everything will be okay the doctor is going to make him feel better now Philip is 22 years old I just treated like a fourteen-year-old because he has issues that make him seem like a young child. when he was called into the doctor's office the nurse replied stand on the weight scale he stood on and she said to wait and wrote it down on a piece of paper. After that she said follow me into a room you will be in room three. she left out and she came back in with a little machine that had a red tip on the top of it he said okay Philip I need to take your temperature so fill up sat up and opened up his mouth as to wait for a thermometer to be placed in his mouth. The nurse replied no Philip this thermometer has to go in your bottom we do bottom temperatures here Philip whined and said why I'm an older child or a man actually I'm not a boy. The nurse said Phillip do you want me to go get your mother. He said no don't get my mom it's too embarrassing. I don't want her to know I have to get it done here in my bottom . So the nurse continued to lube up the thermometer and slowly open his bottom cheeks an insert the thermometer rectally. Philip said wow this feels kind of weird. Doctor said I thought your mom takes your temperature rectal at home . Philip frowned and says yes that she does but I don't like it. so then the nurse proceeded to tell Phillip don't be so shy this is the best way to get a reading and I think you should have it for a while. so with that she continued the rest of the temperature pulled out thermometer and told him okay you don't have a fever and went on with the rest of the examination.
