Looking at her watch, Naomi saw that it was almost 3:30 PM. Nodding at the doctor, she said, "Well, I guess it's got to be done. Alright, I'll take the appointment. Should I just wait in the waiting room?"

Nodding his head, the doctor replied, "That will be fine, Miss Winters. Just check at the desk on your way out. I'll buzz Jane again and she'll be waiting to set up the appointment." Pulling some papers out of his desk, he continued, " But before you leave, I want you to read over this and then sign it. It's a Consent for Treatment and I've written in what the possible side effects might be."

Taking the papers, Naomi read them quickly, noting that under side effects, the doctor had noted anal spasm', hemorrhoidal vein distension', temporary incontinence' and flatus'. Why don't you just have a seat and we'll get you in as soon as the doctor is free."
