Amy’s group physical for mandatory military service
Amy Melanson is a beautiful, blonde haired, blue eyed high school senior. This story takes place in the month of April, about six weeks before graduation.
This is a completely fictional story, taking place in current times, in a fictional country. No person or place is represented here, and NO political leanings are intended here in any way.
For this story, all high school graduates, male and female, are required to perform mandatory military service. For females, a minimum 18 months is required, for males a full two years is required. The mandatory conscription must begin after high school graduation, or potential criminal charges may be imposed if a valid reason isn’t approved ahead of time. For example, not being able to pass the physical exam, diagnosed with a valid, medically documented physical disability, or a valid, medically documented mental disability or disorder that precludes military service.
Regardless of attending college or not, ALL high school seniors must report to their regional military processing center, or MPC, in the month of April for a mandatory, complete physical examination. All the high schools in a region served by an MPC are given scheduled dates on which they must bus a group of students to the MPC for their physicals. Boys and girls are separated, and are seen on different days. Depending on the size of the high school, two, three or four days may be required to get all the seniors examined. Once a student officially passes their physical, a date to report back to the MPC for transportation to a military base for basic training is given, the ship out date is usually a few weeks to a month after graduation.
During senior year, written tests are given to check all of the students’ reading, writing, reading comprehension, and mathematical abilities, to help determine proper placement for their military occupation. If a student is accepted into a college or trade school, they will be allowed to attend after basic training, but will be required to attend training for their military occupation during school breaks and during the summers. Upon graduation, they must fulfill the rest of their time they have remaining. All students get credit for the time they spent attending the mandatory training during school.
This story may take a while for me to complete. You will know when it is complete since the last part will be titled “The Conclusion.” If you want to read it in its entirety, uninterrupted, it might be best to wait until I finish it.
