EMom hit the nail on the head. I enjoy enemas for all sorts of reasons, but for constipation, I prefer Dr. Bronner's Peppermint liquid soap. It works fast, cleans you out thoroughly, and helps mask the odor. For relaxation, chamomile tea. For long holds, baking soda and salt. For detox, coffee. For the rare occasions when we want cramps, my sister and I give each other milk and molasses with our colon tube.
