Position for Rectal Exam

Last one was laying on left side.

My first one a couple weeks ago was laying on my left side, but that was because I couldn't bend over the table due to a knee injury. For things like that I prefer having as little direct involvement in the procedure as possible so I might request it again for future ones, although laying on my stomach would be interesting.

During physical, he has me pull my knees up to my chest, checks penis & scrotum, then I get the finger.

When I was about 18 I had a rectal exam for the first time the doctor put me on my hands and knees on the table made me turn my shoulder and place one shoulder on top of the table. He used some KY and lubed up my hole gently he slid his finger inside Abby and instantly I'm owed allowed and started shooting come all over the top of the table I was so embarrassed but he said don't worry it's normal.

Bending over the end of the exam table, feet spread apart is the best position; I think.

last year my doctor made me lie down on my side with my knees up,he only used one finger. I enjoyed it and smiled, and made a comment that It was not unplesant at all. I went back this year, and he had me lay on a pillow on my stomach and lower my jeans, he rubbed the lube in and used one finger, then asked me to pull my jeans off so he could spread my legs a bit more. He then pushed two fingers into my anus and spread them a bit. I felt my face turn red. Then he removed his gloves and said excuse me,and left the room. He came back with another pilow and told me to place it under my stomach so he could get a better view of my rectum. he put the gloves on, massaged some lube ionto me and slid two fingers in and out then real deep and told me to relax, then it felt like three fingers deep. He told me to relax and breathe, then wiped me off and told me I was healthy.

I came hard that night

ALWAYS after the 'turn my head and cough' hernia exam, while my tighty-whities are down around my ankles, he has me step out of them and bend over the table and then reach back with both hands and pull my buttocks apart and hold my rectum open for his exam. Recently he got an important call he had apparently been expecting, so there I am like that for what seemed like an eternity (I know it was not). Every time he tried to hang up the caller kept him a little longer on the phone. Doctor appologized but he then went on like it was nothing. After all he sees bare asses all day long. :-)

I became extremely ill when some idiot in the kitchen of our favorite restaurant mistook a squeeze bottle of machine oil for salad dressing.

I was throwing up violently, and after a night hugging the toilet bowl and having violent dry heaves, my wife took me into Johns Hopkins Hospital E.R. They were considering arlifting me into Bethesda Naval Hospital. Doctor after doctor checked my appendix; I think they took a quart of blood from me for every sort of test imaginable; worse yet, they kept checking my abdomen -- each exam concluding with a rectal exam. On the last one, knee to chest, kneeling on the exam table, the doctor put so much of his hand into my rectum that I actually passed out from the pain.

It was awful. I think that it took four months for my anus to heal from the abuse it got in the E.R.

Definitely a "don't like."

Only had 1 rectal exam. It was done lying on my left side with my right knee pulled up. This was done by a doctor I don't go to anymore. I've not had a rectal exam with my current doctor. Curious to see how she will do it when I get to that point.

Only one time on my side, all other times it's been bent over the exam table.

The last exam I had was standing at the end of the exam table leaning on my elbows.I have never has a rectal in Sims position.

Left lateral with knees drawn up is usual process but personally prefer standing and bending over.

Most right handed docs in the UK do it in left lateral position (lying on your left side hip and knees bent to 90 degrees).

On my back, legs in the stirrups with the drape over me. The last time I was told to "relax, breathe...pressure pressure pressure."

On my back in the stirrups, at the end of my pelvic exam. After the bimanual exam gyno does the recto-vaginal and rectal.

I usually do the rectal while the patient is in the stirups.

The first two rectal exams I got in my younger days were in the knee-chest position, nude, with my head and chest down on the table and my butt up in the air. The last two exams have been bending over the exam table. I've never had one with me on my side.

my position was not on the list. couldnt submit to that part. i am bent over end of table. sorry hat was not a selection. doesnt bother me .

I like it on my back, with my legs spread.

I've had several rectal exams and the doctors seem split. I'd say half of them have me lay on my left side with my left leg straight and my right leg bent and pulled up towards my chest. The other half involve me standing with my knees slightly bent and bending over the exam table and resting my my elbows on it. I'd love to have a doctor examine me with my feet in the stirrups and legs spread wide apart. Ahhh women are so lucky to be examined in that position. If there are any women out there reading this, I'd love to hear how u feel when getting a rectal exam with ur feet in the stirrups.

All of the above. My pediatrician did a rectal exam with you bent over the table and lying on your left side. I have had a urologist do it both of those ways as well. My present internist prefers on all fours with your head and shoulders down and your butt in the air.

Truthfully, early on I hated the rectal exam, but later learned to like it.

for my last few exams, it has been bent over the table.

Usually bent over the exam table, but I have had them in the Sims position. I had one doctor that thought it was undignified to have someone bend over the table, so the ones I had with him were in the Sims position. So far I have never been in the knee / chest position. However if the exam required being in the knee/chest, I would have no problem with it.

The last one I had was on my side, though I do recall having one in a ;curled up in a ball' position resting on my knees when I was younger.

Every time I saw that doctor I was dreading getting a rectal exam, even to the point of him lowering my underwear and me clenching as an attempt to stop what was about to happen.

My primary care physician has me lie on my left side with both legs drawn up. She stands on the right side of the table, spreads my cheeks, and inserts her finger.

My urologist has a different technique. I lie on my right side, with only my left leg drawn up. The urologist stands on the right side of the table, so that the pad of her finger is pointing toward her as she examines my prostate and rectum.

My gynecologist does it while I'm on my back, still in the stirrups after the pelvic exam.

Real dr had me bent over touching my toes. As a play doctor i like gies in this position and also on hands and knees on the examination couch.

Bent over the table resting on my elbows, feet shoulder-width apart. I have long legs so my butt is far up. I always have trouble relaxing during these things, so my doctor has me turn my feet in so my toes point towards each other. This forces your butt and anal muscles to relax, and it makes you feel exposed and vulnerable, but it does makes for a more comfortable exam.

R/L is on my back right after he's done my annual pelvic exam and no - I don't really like it. It's too impersonal.

However, in my fantasy, I'm on my tummy and after my temperature is taken - rectally of course - my partner then proceeds to "examine" me with several fingers and maybe a few other things.

My real doctor always has me lay on my side. When I'm playing, I love the exposure of being spread wide in stirrups. The feeling of the air moving around my rectum and around my scrotum is totally amazing if I'm really worked up.

I could never really choose just one, as different scenarios call for different positions. Still, on my back with legs spread and slightly pushed back to allow lots of access to both rectum and vagina is a favorite and the playdoc gets to watch my expressions and the effect the exam is having. I also think bent over a table is arousing, as you can't really see what's going on and it makes your bottom available for some disciplinary spanking if necessary. :o

My position was not listed too. She has me bend over the exam table for the dig exam. This is one thing that I would thing a doc would put a guy in stirrups for. Seems to me she could get a better exam that way. I'd probably love it too.

I prefer perrform the rectal exam (digital and proctoscopic) of my female patients in knee-chest position

Perhaps the most common position was missing - bent over the table leaning on elbows. 90% of my rectal exams were done that way.

I have them positioned over my knee so i can feel them shaking durng the procedure.

Usually standing bent over the table, the paper johnny that the Dr ripped part way for listening to my chest via my back hiked up around my hips.

Once standing while leaning over exam table. Other times laying on side and legs bent up.

Fully naked laying on table in real scene, for play my girl has me one lay over her lap or two be in hospital johnny laying naked on the bed with easy access for her.

Normally my doctor does the exam with me on my side with my knees under my chin. I have also had exams bent over the couch.

When my doctor does a rectal exam on me, I am usually on my back, still in the stirrups.

My doctor simply has me drop my pants and bend over the exam table for my annual DRE. Nothing fancy about that method.

My current real life doctor has me lay on the exam table, on my left side with my right leg thrown over, just almost turned onto my stomach. Also, I'm totally naked during this. No gown or anything.

I am 25 and I have not yet had a DRE. My girl friend is a student nurse and she likes to practice all of her skills on me. When she does a DRE on me, she will have me lye down on my side and then she will have me bare down while she checks inside. She also examines my prostate and for that she has me bend over the table and spread my legs and buttocks. I think if I had to choose, I would probably choose to lye down for both exams.

It wouldn't be my favorite position, but I am usually on my back in stirups. I would think rear in the air and chest down would give better access though.

The first Doctor that did a rectal on me had me standing and bent over the exam table.

Lying on my stomach sometimes the roleplay doctor puts a firm cushion under my hips so that my buttocks are pushed higher off the table. They usually like my legs open wide, sometime they secure my ankles to the table. I don't mind light bondage.

for me has to be standing with legs spread bent forward with arse in the air... v humiliating!

My R/L Doctor always has me drop trow and bend over at the waist. In play the several nurses that I have had do rectal exams seemed to perfer that I be hands and knees on the exam table or bent over the end of the exam table.

I had one doctor a male that always performed rectals on his male patients laying on their side. All others including one with my usual doctor and a female medical student have been standing and bent over the table.

I could only select one choice since my position was not listed; standing while leaning over exam table. I liked it since my play partner had prepared me for the procedure with her numerous examinations of my prostate. I also knew, at age 50, it was an important part of my examination and was happy to know that it was being done.
