I have females for my intimate exams:
Urologist
General practitioner
Dermatologist
Osteopathic
But my proctologist is a male and the best in our city.

As I explained in another survey, I have a huge abdominal palpation fetish and öove.to feel female stomachs. However, having my own stomach palpated by a doctor is another thing. I could never relax my muscles with a male doc. Even with females it takes a few moments for me to release all tension. But when I do, my stomach is really soft, my doc used to say.

As I male, I love injections given by a female docter.
If I need one for medical reasons, and it is given by a man , I try everything to avoid the injection.
A man may only inject me in the arm. Sorry guys.

We all have the same part! Women have what women are suppose to have and men have what they suppose and we know know what each has! I don’t care! I can’t tell the difference or don’t care! I don’t care if it’s a room full of students observing’ I had to in nursing school! I’ve had so many probing and gauging I don’t care but I’m worried about the test test today with a balloon up my burt! I don’t know anyone that has ever had one!

I’m female and been to both. Generally males are more gentle and listen to concerns.

I’m female and I have seen both male and female! I don’t care as long as they know what they doing! Thank goodness I don’t have to go to my family doctor very often! I go to the gyn once a year! It’s getting close to a colonoscopy and the group is big with male and female doctors so I tell them I don’t care! My gyn doctor had a emergency one year and his nurse practitioner did my exam and she did well as him! Actually took more time with me than he does!

My answer is based on pretend doctors only. In real life, i couldn't care less.

Male, prefer male. I'd love a female doctor, but I'd get turned on!

Male preferring male.

Emom 2 years ago
My ophthalmologist and allergist are females, my dermatologist and OB/GYNs are male, and GP might be male or female because that practice has both. I honestly don't care. All are competent.

Hiddenuser 2 years ago
I'm male and have had both male and female doctors, what I look for is are they component(sp) do they know what they are doing.

I would prefer a female doctor, even though most of my doctors I visited were male...

It doesn’t matter to me, ether one is fine

xols 3 years ago
I prefer the most competent doctor. I've had good and bad of both genders.

Dragonflies369 3 years ago
I am a female and prefer a female doctor because if I have anything that only a female can understand, I already have a relationship with her. I don't have to feel weird about asking anything.

I'm male. I've had both, but prefer a female.

I am female, but have had a male GP for all but 4 of the last 27 years. I have no problem with this. The competence of the doctor is more important to me than whether they are male or female.

I am a male, I have no problem with a female doctor

I prefer a female doctor, but have never refused to be seen by a male doctor.

redtone 11 years ago
I am a male and have never been examined by a female doctor. If a female doc walked into the exam room, I would have no problem with that.

agracier 11 years ago 1
Obviously the only criterium for real physical exams and procedures should be competence. But hypothetically assuming this is equal, I have found female doctors to be more thorough and willing to listen more attentively to what I, as a patient, have to say.
Many male doctors often seem to be able to come to a (usually correct) diagnosis quicker, but correct or not, their speed often seems to me to be haste to get things done as quickly as possible. And by this I do not mean the treatments or exams as such, but the listening part.

mitmed61 11 years ago
all the docters that ive seen in the last few years have been female, for a play exam it could be either.

daiv 11 years ago
I like guys, but don't think I'd have a problem with either male or female for real or play exams.

I always feel more comfortable talking about my conditions to a woman. Besides they tend to be more understanding in a medical discussion. Men can be really egotistic.

highndry 11 years ago
I have no preference and would have no problem going to a female urologist or primary care doctor and I did go to a female skin doctor for several years for full-body skin cancer checks.

jhenson16 11 years ago
Over the years and many medical problems I have seen them all. Young, old, male, female.
I found, as far as my real doctors are concerned, the only thing I care about is how competent they are.
I have been known to walk out on more than one who I found to be a fool.
Where my actual care is concerned I'm very careful.

ShyMedic 11 years ago
Like I have stated in another post, I prefer a male Doctor. I believe this is because I am a fairly shy person and am afraid I may become erroused by a female doctor examining me.

DanC732 12 years ago
I am a male and I prefer female doctors.

In my experience, female physicians take more time, are more thorough, and seem to have a better disposition than their male counterparts.

Amnesia 12 years ago
I prefer a young female doctor.
Young because they have just learned all the new techniques, and hopefully remember them.
Female because they usually seems to have had to try harder to overcome sexism so in my humble opinion tend to be better.

bluecar102 12 years ago
Female doctors seem to be more thorough and have better bedside manners.

Bobbee 13 years ago
It might seem like a sexual stereotype, but I think female physicians are more sensitive and caring. This feels like the case for primary care physicians, maybe not for specialists.

germangoddesss 13 years ago 1
I have found that male doctors are more attentive to the female body rather than female doctors. Of course I prefer male doctors! :D

dmk61820 13 years ago
Female doctors seem to be more attentive. All of the male doctors I've seen all seem like they have somewhere else they'd rather be.

kennyboy9 14 years ago
I always seek out female doctors! Especially Asian ones...they listen better and are more people friendly....

I definitely prefer female doctors, especially for genital/urological.

Up to now I would have said I prefer a male dr because I did not want the nakedness with a woman to be one sided. Now I am changing my mind and thinking a female dr would be an interesting experience. Interesting reading about females being gentler and taking more time.

n/a 14 years ago
I prefer female doctors because I feel they are more sensitive and thoughtful. I found some male doctors, especially in big hospitals don't care about patients' uncomfortableness and/or pains.

cowboy 14 years ago
Male likes a female doctor they seem to take more time with me and are a gentler. ;D ::)

Crusnik 14 years ago
Generally, I prefer to be examined by a female. It just seems more comfortable. Still, it depends on the individual doctor.

ab13 14 years ago
Interestingly enough, I like a female doctor for primary care, but prefer males for specialists.

angiel 14 years ago
Totally prefer to be examined by a male.

n/a 14 years ago
I have only ever had a male doctor so I can't compare.

n/a 14 years ago
I've only had male doctors in the past, but next week will be my first physical by a female doctor. I did have an initial visit with her where we discussed my medical history and she had some tests done (blood work, x-ray). She was very professional and listened in a very caring way. I'm really excited about the complete physical she's going to give me and can hardly wait.

spike 14 years ago
Looks like men definitely prefer a female Dr. ,well at least men that read this board.

-na- 14 years ago
I have had both male and female doctors, and I have ALWAYS preferred the touch of a female doctor - I've never had a male doc be anywhere near as gentle or smooth. Not even close.

Tomas84 14 years ago
Just see a nice, young female doctor with a sexy stethoscope and I know I am in good hands. :)

Kimberly 14 years ago
It seems that most people enjoy the doctor being of the opposite sex, and I think that is understandable. I think there is some element of excitement having a doctor of the opposite sex. Female doctors may be more sensitive to women's problems, but I think male physicians give just as good care.

n/a 14 years ago
I'm seeing a female specialist for an a shoulder injury and she hasn't even asked me to take my shirt off. A male specialist who referred me had me strip to the waist and didn't give out a gown. I wonder, are female doctors more sensitive about modesty during a procedure?

JenSchaefer 14 years ago
At this time I have both male and female doctors. My PCP is a male and my other doctors are female.

I have never had a female doctor. I cannot imagine what it would be like; however, I think I would be a little nervous or anxious about it.

srg rik 15 years ago
I have had both male and female docs. It matters not to me so long as they are competent.

n/a 15 years ago
I have always found female doctors to be more thoughtful, meticulous, and thorough.

This has been asked elsewhere many times, but I think that instead of reading through all the posts and trying to find a consensus, it might be easier to see the pure numbers. And just a note, this is intended for REAL EXAMS, not play because the dynamic is very different in play vs. real.
