I grow up with a single parent mostly - my mom - and without brothers. During my childhood, I spend my life mostly between two homes - our apartment, with my mom, inside the city, and on my grandparents home, in the countryside, in a small village not too far from our city.
My mom, wasn't really in to nudism, but she never hided from my eyes when we shared our single bathroom or things like this.
Because we were far to be a rich family, my mom used to do a lot of things for savings. We were not a poor family and she was not skimpy at all. Just some limited spendings to have enough resources for a normal life style.
Back to our theme, I must to say that during my childhood I never had to much cloths in my wardrobe. I always had two complete school uniforms (the communist pioneer style, with a red tie), one sunday costume for going to church and/or other special ocasions and just a few other various cloths for the daily routine for that I was instructed to keep them clean once while I was outside and to protect them for unnecessary wear when I was inside the house.
Socks and underpants, no more than three pairs - white ones - was just for going outside. Inside the house I was always barefoot at least during the summer, also shirtless, usually just in short pants - commando style - but also JUST in a T-shirt. Even now I remember very well that being back from school, even being home alone during the day because my mother was on her job, once while I was inside the house, first, I always undressed all my clothes and then putting them on the hanger, and just after doing that going to the bathroom to wash my hands or things like this / other things.
I never considered myself abused in anywey. Things like this was also common in other mid-class families from our community.
Of course that if we had guests for example, we always were decent clothed, but at least up to 12 years old or so, if our guests was just relatives, family's friends or our regular playmates we almost never really worried about anything...
