My First Experience With Nudism
I had my first nudist experience this past summer. My son, daughter, and I were on vacation. I'd read about an out of the way beach that was supposed to be less crowded than the more popular tourist destinations, so we made plans to go.
We got there relatively early in the morning. The beach was mostly deserted. There were a few people off in the distance, but we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We set out our blankets and swam for a little while in the water. Then we relaxed on the beach.
As we relaxed, a family arrived on the beach. They had two young children with them. The parents helped the kids undress to put on their swimsuits. Or so I assumed. Instead, however, the father led the naked children down to the edge of the water where they started to play. This seemed a little odd, but the kids were quite young so it didn't seem to matter whether or not they wore clothes. They certainly didn't seem to care.
Not long after than, a young couple arrived. They set out their things and began to undress. I assumed that, like us, they'd worn their swimsuits under their clothes. As they undressed, however, I saw that this wasn't the case. The man and the woman were nude.
My son whispered to my daughter and pointed at the couple. I told them not to stare. The couple laid on their blanket for a little while, then went for a swim. The father came back with the kids. He and the mother both undressed. They were nude too. I was beginning to wonder what kind of beach we'd ended up on.
The answer was clear by late morning. We were surrounded by nude families and couples. My kids and I wondered if we should stay. We were the only ones wearing swimsuits. I didn't want to waste the day, so I suggested we stay at the beach as long as they were comfortable. My son and daughter both agreed.
Eventually we started to get less embarrassed about the situation. My kids went for a swim and started talking to some of the other teenagers their age. When they came back to our blanket, they nervously asked me if it would be okay for them to swim naked with everyone else. I figure it couldn't hurt, so I told them that was fine. They eagerly stripped off their swimsuits and rejoined their new friends.
After a few minutes, I realized that I was the only person on the beach wearing a swimsuit. The thought of getting naked made me a little uncomfortable, but I decided to give it a try. The sun on my skin felt great and I really enjoyed swimming nude. We spent the rest of the day naked with everyone else.
When we returned home from vacation, I was surprised that my kids seemed more comfortable being nude around the house. At first it was just going to or from the shower, but eventually they started to spend more time nude. Finally one day my daughter asked if it would be okay for them to be nudists at home like we had been on the beach. We talked about it and decided to have a trial weekend.
That Saturday morning, the three of us came down to breakfast in nothing but our birthday suits. It was a little odd at first, but by the end of the weekend seemed totally normal. We've been practicing nudism at home ever since.
