I've never been spanked with a razor strop, my dad didn't have one. Is it worse than the belt?

A razor strop is a leather strap, just like a belt. The strop, however, is wider and thicker (and therefore, heavier) than any normal belt.

Of course, the impact of any leather strap, when used to tan a bare bottom, depends mostly upon 1> the force with which the disciplinarian applies the correction, and 2> the number of swats applied. Having said this, a strop (because it is wider, thicker, and heavier), certainly has the potential to deliver a more severe thrashing than any typical belt.

A razor strop, when used for discipline, is very similar to the Louisiana prison strap, the Texas prison strap, and the Canadian prison strap. Sometimes, judges would sentence men to receive disciplinary sessions with these straps while incarcerated for their crimes. Prison wardens also had the authority to administer the strap to correct a prisoners' misbehaviors during incarceration. Although they are no longer in use, these prison straps are legendary for their effective correction of adult male misbehaviors.

When used domestically, for family discipline, a razor strop must be used very responsibly. My father had a relatively short/thin/light leather strap that he used on my sisters and me when we were in grade/elementary school. When I entered junior high school, my father started tanning my hide with the razor strop, when necessary. He only used the strop on my sisters a few times, when he felt that they really deserved it.

The question i have is,are holes in wooden spoon s to make it hurt more, or is there a legitimate cooking reason for them.

My wife keeps her paddle hanging on the wall in the kitchen. Sort of out of sight but visible if you sit at the breakfast bar.

If I'm going to be spanked because I have annoyed her for some reason, I find out when I come downstairs in the morning and see the paddle lying on the breakfast bar which is the sign that I am to remain naked until my punishment is delivered. The being naked part is important to her because it makes me think what I have done and how angry is she. The trepidation and anticipation is almost worse than the spanking. There have been times when she has left me naked for hours, working on the farm until she rocks up and finds me and then punishes me wherever I am. Most of the spankings I receive are delivered in the kitchen bending over the breakfast bar but its always up to her when and where.

Wooden spoon with 1 or more holes in is recommended to be used for baking cakes. The hole(s) prevent you from over beating ( honestly no pun intended) the ingredients

Being annoyed at someone does not sound like there is an objective criteria for being punished. Some people can be annoyed for any number of arbitrary and subjective reasons that vary from one day to the next.

So if this punishment is meant to actually correct undesired behavior, then by what standards is the inappropriate/unwanted behavior judged? Are these standards consistent and agreed upon?

But if not and they are spur of the moment 'transgressions' on your part, how do you know what or what not to do to avoid such punishments?

My dad was very strong and he always gave it some muscle when he gave a spanking. I'm sure that if he'd used a razor strop on my bare bottom I wouldn't have been sitting down for a few days.

My father's whippings were ALWAYS administered “on the bare”, but the amount of “muscle” and the number of swats that he delivered depended upon the circumstances. For a minor transgression, and/or for a first offense, just a few swats delivered with light-to-medium force were administered in an attempt to correct the naughty behavior without inflicting too much suffering. If however, misbehaviors were considered major transgressions, and/or there were repeated offenses, after prior attempts to correct, a more severe tanning was always effective!

It is very true that, when many swats with a razor strop are forcefully laid across a bare bottom, the recipient will not only suffer the actual pain of the leather strap, but will also suffer a lingering soreness and will not sit down comfortably for a period of time!

Well-tanned teenaged boys' buttocks were often on display in the boys' locker rooms in my junior high school and high school. In fact, our PE coaches had paddles and straps hanging on our locker room walls. Our PE coaches were our school disciplinarians, and they often administered school tannings with a razor strop. Watching a boy bend his naked body over the old vaulting horse for a locker room tanning was almost as much of a deterrent of delinquent behaviors as was being personally on the receiving end of the strop! After a locker room tanning, it was very uncomfortable to sit down in any subsequent classes and/or the cafeteria. On a few occasions, I remember eating my school lunch standing up. Receiving such discipline at school always included taking a note home for a parent's signature, which usually meant that a naughty student's already well-tanned bare bottom would suffer another thrashing at home, and sitting would be uncomfortable for several days!

That's how my dad kind of was. Looking back I always thought his spankings were brutal and lasted forever, but I think that was just being caught in the moment. Very rarely did he even leave a bruise.

My grandfather on the other hand had a razor strop. He spanked me a couple times until I pissed myself.

I never pissed myself during a spanking, no matter how severe it was.

It was the perfect height to lean over to get your ass paddled which happened to me a lot.

After washing up and changing into comfy clothes, my mother met him as he came downstairs. She told him that I was making noise and needed a reminder not to do that when she is teaching. So before getting his before dinner cocktail he came downstairs to the basement and saw me standing in the corner as the bad boy that I was.

We both knew why he was there so no words were spoken. He brought me over to the chair, reached into the waistband of my pants and undies and brought them down to my ankles together. He bent me over the chair and started to hand spank my naughty bare bottom. After about fifty on each cheek he stopped and reached up on the wall and brought down the frat paddle. The paddle was long enough to cover both cheeks. He gave me fifty swats which left me in tears with a hot hiney. My mother came downstairs to look. I had to appologize to her which I did.

I hope that the memory of such spankings might be confused with the actual numbers. I cannot get the notion into my head that so many swats is anything but physical abuse when done to a child.

I would like if you guys post some pictures with wooden paddle, or other punishment toys, hung, or put at your place..

It does seem an extremely harsh level of punishment DST! Although when you hear about what was done to kids in general in those days it is not that surprising! Were your friends disciplined as severely as that?
