Once upon a time, pumpkin shaped bags were available. So to me, shape is of more import pics than color. But clear would be my preference if it’s a forced choice.
While 1950's style red open-top enema bags have been my favorite as far back as 1950's; in more recent years very feminine pink open-top bags have also became a favorite. In large part due to picking up and taking a pink bag up for purchase in a store (when you actually buy enema bags in a store) was all the more embarrassing as the bag it was just so feminine and seemed like something a man should not be handling! 😳
Mom had a yellow translucent bag hanging in the shower when I did my 1st solo enema. I was in the shower and could no longer resist the temptation. I was 11 years old at the time. Currently, I have a beautiful 2 litre silicone bag with a 1-1/4" delrin nozzle from Kristina Amelong. But, I still think back to that pretty 1st bag Mom had. So foldable and inflatable to a point. I MISS THAT BAG!
Kinda interesting , made me think , would probably would have to be the semi transparent , natural tan , latex , combination Bag that Sears Roebuck sold long time ago . Could kinda see thru it , had a graduated scale cast into the rubber near an edge , that showed how much was left in the bag . Had same tan colored Latex tubing , shiny metal clamp , Black nozzle set Wasn't glamours , but was quite functional . I was quite sad when rubber color turned dark , started to crack , deteriorated and finally sprung the death leak !
I have a photo in my equipment album of that Sears combination bag. The syringe is in “like new” condition and a part of my collection of vintage items.
My thoughts as to this thread harken back to our ‘ home enema syringe(s) ’ as one was ‘ red ’ and a later one my mother purchased from Sears was ‘ hospital white ’ . Both syringes were well used in our home as in her douches and the family enemas .
This thread reminds me of discussions in a golf shop where a frequently asked question is “What's in your bag? meaning what clubs do you carry. Only in this case the question, would be ”What's your bag?"
The best looking enema bag is one that is bulging full with soap suds running down the sides, waiting for you. 😃

I’m looking to purchase a new silicone enema bag that is lavender in color, and it looks gorgeous In the photo. I will be retiring my vintage Faultless pink syringe, to my personal museum.

B.F. Goodrich No. 36F enema is the grand daddy enema of them all. It was good enough for mom and grandma so it is good enough for me. I have found several off of EBAY….https://en.zity.biz/gallery/image/215099a 1940's/1950's vintage B.F.Goodrich No. 36F
@moliere Where did you find this?I'm referring to the Aussie Health Company's 2-quart silicone enema bag, comes in purple and blue. See my post, #40 below.
Probably my first douche syringe that my mom helped me buy at the local drugstore. It was a latex folding travel syringe. If I think of the brand, I will add a further note. I remember almost fainting from embarrassment. The lady behind the counter was someone I baby sat for.Dita

I like my six quart German latex bag and my silicone four quart bag both allow you to see the solution inside the bag as well as the bags flatting out as they empty out Into your bottom. I also enjoy the large bore silicone tubing in ten foot length with a flow meter a foot below the bag and a inline pump as well. The silicone vibrates nicely when you touch a vibrator to it and the hose has a nice little jig to it as you squeeze the pump .They look menacing hang on the IV pole bloated and filled to the brim.
