I would say I'm with you, wanting to wear cloth and plastic pants. When the time came to be put in a care facility, that is.
But, the reality for that being the case is not feasible. It is by far, easier on staff to use disposable products. That is the bottom line.
I don't know of any care giving facility that now uses cloth. I don't know this for sure, buy it wouldn't be likely, or the norm.
It might be possible, if there was, an outside contracted service, like a baby diaper service.
It may also be possible, that if it was your presence to use cloth, you could. But, I don't think if the staff was involved you could. You would have to be able to do you own changes, or capable of doing so. And if you were there be cause you need care, then you probably wouldn't be capable of your own changes anyway.
More then likely, we are doomed to endure disposable paper incontenance products when the time comes.
